It's a bluish purple. The lighting in the room could make you feel it's more one than the other. My Dad's truck is dark blue during the day but looks purple at night. Anyway, it's on the line between the two colors is the only correct answer.

Tbf, it is indeed listed as purple on the Playstation website...though they have also Cosmic Red in the same collection. Which is actually Magenta/Burgundy.

It has a very subtle purple iridescent layer, but I checked in Photoshop and the base color is literally 100% blue and 0% red. It's right on the line where cyan turns fully into blue, the furthest blue can possibly get from purple.

On the website, it looks slightly more on the violet side of indigo, but on camera, that is just a straight-up royal blue. What it sure af is NOT is purple.

When they were originally talking about the colors of GameCubes it occurred to me this distinction is probably what threw Woolie off, if not everyone else. For some reason people are allowed to decide on their own or due to their upbringing whether indigo is a shade of blue or a shade of purple. And that seems to define all their other distinctions on that spectrum
