Love these videos! It's nice to see more cosmere content creators :D I’m super excited for the timeline shenanigans and the 10/80 year thing. If I’m understanding this correctly, Wind and Truth is setting up at Era 2 starts up right after Wind & Truth and lasts for about 10 years. Then in the State of the Sanderson, Brandon announced that Era 3 was going to be 50 years after that. So that’s 60 years then 10-20 years later, Roshar syncs back up with the rest of the cosmere and their 10 years have passed. So, that would mean that Scadrial is going to have like 90s/00s levels of technology. I cannot wait for the Scadrian worldhoppers to roll up to Roshar with their flip phones and CD players.

There’s even more to discuss here! - The Stormlight World Guide will be canon and the Handbook will surely have relevant information, as will the Bridge 9, Shadesmar etc mini booklets. - What are the odds that we’ll get a second canon adventure book before we get book 6 in 7 years? Johnny has already been teasing a potential idea for one. - The Lost Tales short stories! Both Elsecaller and King Lopen the First of Alethkar are canon! (The Chasmfriends, sadly, was not.) I imagine Dragonsteel will lean into this and do more stories for future conventions. They’ve already committed to publishing them in a regular format in the future, too. - On another note, the Lopen 1.5 novella idea kind of got scrapped, the way I understand it. Firstly, it was always going to take place during the climax of WoR, so it was never 1.5. Secondly, Brandon already used some character development ideas for Lopen in Dawnshard. Thirdly, we just got it with the Lost Tales cards. Knowing Brandon, writing a 1.5 novella is something he will want to do. He’s mused about doing a Teft novella. Personally, I’d been hoping for an Ishikk one, which would be easier continuity-wise since he hasn’t resurfaced again in the story. I’d love for him to showcase the Purelake and the fish, and find Hoid, but not get back to the 17th Shard characters. In any case, I wouldn’t discount a shorter 1.5 novella down the line, perhaps for a potential RoW leatherbound crowdfunding campaign around 2030.

I was also excited when I realized lift would be trained by vasher. Idk about awakening but at minimum she will be one of the most powerful fighters on roshar after what Nail already said about her and her training

WaT spoilers. I think Taravangian/Retribution will be the big bad for Elantris Books 2 and 3, Ghostbloods (Mistborn Era 3) and SA Books 6-10. But he will have a Thanos like roll. This means you may see him at the end of some of the Elantris and Ghostblood books. Perhaps Moash, some new characters or the Blackthorn will be a more visible antagonist in these books. Retribution will only be the on screen antagonist in the 2nd Cosmere act. I could foresee there being a brand new antagonist for Mistborn Era 4. A second Cosmere swerve. Either Rysn sails beyond the none land mass to try to hide (less likely) or somewho is able to get her boat into Shadesmar. If so, she will meet up with Shallan. What I do not want to happen is for Shallan to get off world and then we see her child or grandchild come back and meet Adolin in the Physical Realm. That would be sad. Not a fan of the Blackthorn concept. I would rather that Moash be Retribution's off world spokesman. If Dalinar had the capacity and willingness to grow, I think somehow the Blackthorn will as well. While Cultivation helped Dalinar bypass making it easier, Dalinar had to want to grow. He would not have changed if he did not want to. Also, I foresee the portion of Honor changing in such a way (in subtle ways that Taravangian will not notice until it is too late) that the combined intent of the Shard ultimately changes. Mishram will be the next Vessel of this altered Shard.

Agree with most of what you are saying here! Also not crazy about the Blackthorn concept, It should be EL or Moash going off world with Fused or however he wants to make that work......i had a separate comment, but here is just as good to repeat it......With Cultivation leaving the system, wouldn't that affect Lift? since she gains here awesomeness from food and I thought that was Cultivation. Can't wait for the next Cosmere content.

Also Sel is the only other dual shard world so I am very curious that Sanderson said he consideres Elantris the third core series

Well the answer is quite simple. The Dor is the power of two shards "spilled" together (dominion and devotion). So if The Dor eventually develops conscience or gets absorbed by an Elantrian or something, then the power it will hold will be equal to Harmony and Retribution. The Dor is the biggest power source in the cosmere that isnt fully controlled by any one group.

I don't think that era 3 will take place between parts 1 and 2 of Stormlight. I think the time dilation will probably be fixed by book 10.

Okay so here is my thought process So Thadikar said the time dilation will catch up probably in about 80 years, but probably only 10 or so years on Roshar. We know era 3 takes place around 50 years after era 2, and we basically see the start of era 2 in the epilogue. This leads me to believe that Scadrial will get to space age before Roshar, BUT I can totally see it being discovered in the 2nd arc (Which will only be a few decades after era 3, which isn't THAT much time) I can totally be wrong tho I'm not Brandon, these are just my theories.
