Plot twist: no one knows what they want
@daniellevilson2 ай бұрын
The man giving this interview seems to be one of those type of men because he laughed at her response I’m much older than her & I agree Men could be much more fascinating if they could throw away western standards of manhood & response according to their natal reactions to situations in life keyed into all of one’s emotions is natural & real and freeing Anything else can stifle one growth as a human being I’m always paying attention to people’s (especially men) reactions to situations in life

It is quite funny, I get she feels she put in lots of reflection. But then she categorized men as a whole or least most men as being immature. For not thinking through what they want. Then she says what she learned most from the relationship was realizing what she wanted was not what she thought initially. Literally the same as the men she’s talking about. I think a lot of people are figuring themselves out and casting blame for not having all the answers is the always the best approach. That’s the point of dating is the trial and error. The people who know what they want already have their partner bc they knew what they wanted. So you won’t see them dating around as often.

Exactly - She admitted to the exact crime that she accused “men” of. Projection, confession, confusion - I guess it’s a blend of all three and our partners may often mirror us in more ways than we will admit.

Everyone is on their own journey, shaped by their own experiences. On a relative basis, everyone will feel there are imperfections or inferior in ways. Key to a relationship, I feel is staying some-what understanding of that and learn to appreciate what it is, investing to developing it without keeping score. Whatever decision you come to, be kind to yourself too.

When a dating app for people who are working on themselves comes out, let me know. It would solve a lot of problems. ❤

you would still get annoying people that will come on this app and ruin it. Most dating app were made to be serious and all but somehow it's impossible for those app to stay like that.

so she didn't know what she want until after coming out of that relationship but she just said men dont know what they want im confused
@cristineb87022 ай бұрын
What I took her to be saying is that she more finely tuned her understanding of what she wanted. Her desire evolved. But I definitely see the irony you pointed out. 😆
@soumya5832Ай бұрын
@@cristineb8702rather than irony i think its pretty normal ..Like when you enter a relationship you know you want this but when you come out of that relationship you realise maybe its not what you wanted or you grow as a person & your wants change by learning through that experiences or failures (if wanna call it)

My cousin is like this and it drives me nuts. I love video games but usually I get settled in on a few games where I don't want to bring new games into the mix very often, and he just tries to get us to play a game with him and then his hype dies down so fast and I feel left in the dust 😭

@christopherchesler57172 ай бұрын
Because she's young and pretty she probably goes after young, attractive, successful men. It is almost impossible for a guy who is aware he can get attention from alot of women to settle down while their young. IF that's the only type of guy you could ever want than be irreplaceable. Do everything for him, be fun, never give him problems and look your best at all times. Eventually he'll have no choice but to keep you
@shermsherm68512 ай бұрын
Unless they aren’t emotionally mature enough to keep you. That’s been my unfortunate experience… and perhaps what she is explaining. You might be the perfect girl for him but it turns out he wasn’t really ready even when he thought he was.
@christopherchesler57172 ай бұрын
@shermsherm6851 She's explaining it from a woman's perspective which is good. But as a man I can assure you that what you perceive to be a lack of emotional maturity is more than likely emotional manipulation. If a guy is not using his actions to further the relationship along and just making empty promises and not delivering, he's non-verbally communicating that you are good for right now but he thinks he can do better.
@morgenmuffel57472 ай бұрын
That’s a rationale analysis that may explain the behaviour of a subset of young men, but doesn’t factor in the immense variance of personal psychology. Sometimes men with all the features you listed just fall in love with something that is unique to the woman or unique to the way they function together and they will choose to stay in the absence of the woman having to be this model of perpetual perfection that you describe
@christopherchesler57172 ай бұрын
@morgenmuffel5747 I factored that in by saying nearly impossible. "Falling in love" is still based on external factors. Falling in love with someone without knowing anything about them based on a narrative/story that you've created in your mind is called Limerence and is closer associated with adhd and disassociation than "Real love."
@TheOutlierToday2 ай бұрын
I think people chase others that excite them that's why men will get involved with a girl they know they can't take seriously. She's pretty or sexy and it's exciting but that can't be the foundation of a relationship

Maybe she should add humility to her list of attributes she has to offer men. She sounds very concerned about getting what she wants. Maybe she ought to try offering what she wants to receive. I could be wrong, but I’ve known several girls like this. All of them sounded and rationalized; just like this one.
@soumya5832Ай бұрын
Maybe she already did but didnt get anything back in return thats what she seems to be saying imo
@JohnSmith-zw6trАй бұрын
@@soumya5832 You might be right, but you might be wrong also. We’ll never know for sure. NOT everyone are how they appear, most situations are NOT what they seem. Many sugar coat themselves while blaming others for failures. In my experience, it’s almost always a 2 way street. Instead of 1st asking what she wants. Maybe she should look in the mirror and ask what she could have don’t differently. If I sound cynical; that’s because I am. 10 years military and 16 years LE can have that effect. But, some of that “cynicism” is based in truth, reality and experience. In my experience, you don’t QUESTION whether people are being truthful, making themselves sound better, leaving out unflattering facts. You, ASSUME it’s there, and look for it. It always is. Just a matter of how much. Remember, if you catch someone lying to you; there are probably 7 other times you missed it. If you think someone is full of BS, it’s because they probably are. If you think someone is trying to scam you; they probably are. Then, take the protective steps necessary until confirmation can be made. Trust you gut. And, NEVER, EVER, EVER trust anyone. Many women are self serving, arrogant, and materialistic. Part of the problem is, men fall in love with what they see; women fall in love with what they hear. That’s why women will always wear makeup and men will always lie. Take care and be safe.
