I was literally grieving because I had to say goodbye to the person I thought I was going to be. I decided not to study medicine and after I admited It I felt so lost. But better to do another thing than not to do anything, right?

I too had thought that studying medicine and becoming a doctor was what I wanted my whole life and spent hours up studying the subject and being passionate about helping people but as I take classes I realize that how wrong I was about my opinions on an easy sailing life after becoming a doctor, but now that I'm in for it might as well flow along and see where I end up....

I’m a current Poli sci major who used to love politics, I’ve intern for campaigns, was even paid to work in one the 2022 cycle, I’ve interned at my state Capitol, and held board positions in my college political clubs. I’ve unfortunately become disillusioned with politics, the people who work in it, etc. Decided on the law school route now as I do love law too. I realized that I’m only corrupt enough to be an attorney, but not enough to be a politician 😂. FIY, it doesn’t matter what party you belong too, your party does not care about you. They only care about votes and winning elections. You can have really good intentions, but politics corrupts the good people too. I’ve seen it happen to people on both sides.

I felt the same way about law. Unfortunately it took until after earning my bachelor’s to have that same experience in law school. So I’m behind on working toward the dream in my new field, but I’m getting there.

I had my ENTIRE life planned: study abroad, graduate early, schools picked out, physics major, grad school, career in STEM.... well turns out I have a progressive condition either no cure! after 3 medical leaves I dropped out, and now live with my parents [something I didn't even do at 16]

I was very drained when I made the decision to leave my job and step away from a certification I was almost done with. Now I'm starting to find that I can still be moving in the general direction of what I'm passionate about, just in a different field. Even if I'm not back on my feet completely just yet, it feels really good to know I will be as long as I don't let myself get in that headspace of "oh I failed and everyone's dissapointed" and remind myself that I'm happier now ❤

Help! My dream is to own a clothing brand. Start my own business. My mom wants me to do maths and do a professional job. My dream is a bit big and not stable so i understand her concern for me. I dont know if i should do commerce or maths for my A/Ls. Also im very indecisive 😢

Love this! I wanted to be many different things and ended on politics !!! When I was very young it was my dream to be a cia or fbi agent but I thought that was unrealistic so I tried my passion in a dozen other fields until I realized I would never have been satisfied settling ❤❤
