QED Silver Anniversary speaker cable I bought 20 years ago, Gotham xlr, rca and power cables, Holo Audio usb (included with DAC) and Holo Audio i2s cable for $9 US.

I got a good mix..lol.. Amazon Basics, Cullen Cable, Audio Sensibility, World Best Cables, A Better Cable, AudioQuest of various flavors, and some others I'm sure I'm forgetting.

what connectors? plugs and banana plugs etc? they matter a lot too me

@@greatlookinglandscap i like both bananas and spades. I also use RCAs(Hate the supposedly lock style though) and XLR--gear dependent. USB for streaming. Optical from the TV to the McIntosh C2500 when I watch a you tube music vid.

RCA typically 2 Volts , XLR typically 5 volts..mostly make my own Interconnect !! Speakers I go bare wire to binding post... That 5 volts on XLR typically means reduce by 6db Im not just and Audiophile but Technical Engineer .. Keep up the work we all love the Shrink!!!

Highly resolved systems are expensive. I like the details but hate the expense and only so far down the small returns road I am going at about 15k I got a lot of enjoyment from a marantz 7005 av a pair of klipsch rp600m and Spotify. Everything is good just a matter of preference and funds.

Hey Shrink what you think of Bel Canto e1X power amp vs full meal deal e1X with DAC etc. is the e1X power amp essentially the same power section etc? I assume so.
@greatlookinglandscap16 күн бұрын
I would say so but the e1x is so much better value nailing the stream and phono to reference level
@revelry196916 күн бұрын
Right. Twice the price better 🤓

My Naim uses DIN connectors. That said, when I make RCA-terminated interconnects, Ken Shindo's recommended Switchcraft 3502AAU are my first choice. For speaker cables, I like AudioQuest BFA/banana plugs. Cheers!!

I got spades for my Lintons as the binding posts on those seem to favor them. I hated some of the cheap banana plugs out there. They compressed and just didn't stay tight. I'll check out the SBAN's for the amp end which the spade's don't really have room to fit.

Shrink! Cables, whew, slippery slope brother. Here's my take, spend what you're willing to spend. I went with Audioquest speaker cable on sale(older models), Wire World interconnects, and Wire World power cables, middle of the road stuff. Probably spent $1,000.00 US all told, and I'm done man. Anyways brother, thats all I got......Rock on!

Sounds smart to me.Its not really a cable vid tho mainly about favored connectors

@@greatlookinglandscap Yes sir, I threw in a little more than the subject matter of your video, I'm a little OCD shrink. I believe we're somewhat on the same page though, banana plugs from the integrated amp to the speakers. RCAs from the streamer/Dac to the integrated amp. No Xlrs, no USB, No I2S.
