Copy That!

Copy That!

Күн бұрын

There's a secret most copywriting gurus, influencers, and content creators don't like to reveal...
All of us. Every one. Wants something from you.
Including us.
In this video, I point out the 3 most common motivations I see that drive people to sell copywriting courses and content.

Not the "you won't find their copy on-line anywhere". 😂 Truth! People who are upset when others make money on KZbin have issues with 1) knowledge & 2) money.

It's true... 👀 This short is a low key admission that Copy That! has sold out and that we're only in this for the money. That's why we made a playlist of a bunch of free videos that you can watch to learn copywriting that don't even include a CTA in the videos, effectively ensuring that we don't make money from this: kzbin.info/aero/PLaLdkW9wnWXJ8L8fwR-6BIEFA6wrEj8Uv Coming soon: a free masterclass on using irony, oxymorons, and contradictions for humorous effect in your copy.

So completely unrelated and totally casual question but would this mean Copy That is currently looking to prospect writers for their agency 😁😁😁

Lol, and this is why I love you guys. Well, mainly for how you present your courses to us openly, in hopes that your generosity will spur future sales, which it most certainly will with me, as I have probably watched your 5 hour course now around 30 times.

Yeah I've seen it a lot recently, a lot of these guys talk about when you join them you'll make 10k a month in your first 4 weeks, and if you don't it could take you up to 2 years to get clients. Then when I asked the cost they told me "some of my members have paid up to 5k to win"

I suppose an online presence like a good channel on KZbin can serve as a portfolio or social proof for a copywriter...?
@CopyThat
@CopyThat Жыл бұрын
It isn't and I'll tell you why: Clients want to know you can deliver results for their businesses. Selling information to copywriters does not adequately showcase skills in that regard, nor does it attract the attention of clients. "Oh, you can explain the stages of awareness to newbies? I don't give a rat's ass because I sell hydroponic flower pots, what good can you do for me?"

@@CopyThat I see.. makes sense. Thanks. And especially thanks for that 5 hours course by Alex. I had learned about stages of awareness months ago from another channel but I didn't really know what to do with it. That guy didn't explain anything at all. Only after watching your video course, I actually understood it and how its used.

Omg I think you just described the “guru” I bought my first course from. It was $3000. I haven’t seen her work anywhere and a LOT of success story students end up writing for HER. Wtf?!

Gonna be brutally honest, NAH HES ASS. people will glaze and say he's the goat but his content is focused on selling a 500 dollars course or making you watch a 30mins video for 20swconda of info

Some of these random "Influencer" copywriters are putting up videos on YT and then creating so called "copywriting course" for 3k-5k dollars and kids fall for the bait. I feel sorry for those. I even know of expensive programs like Copy Accelerator where they sell high ticket coaching programs as expensive as 17k dollars per student. All these copy coaches are nothing but charlatans of the first order.

The unspoken 4th motivation: Insecurity and the existential dread that comes with marketer's remorse and the feeling that I'm not doing enough with my short, meaningless life on this Earth. Oh. And money. But mostly the first thing.
