Its great to see you have a manual and photos of the mast scaffold. 👍

in years to come , you will think back and wonder in amazement how did u manage to do all this ,plans and repair ideas will keep changing for the boat as you go along,one thing for sure boats upto the 20ft size the parts cost are cheap and manageable, for every metre you go over that the parts keep doubling ,still your capable and it will get done they way you want it ,,good on you

Well done, I know how stressful that is - many years ago I “converted” a car transporter trailer to bring my fin keel GK24 from the Hamble to Bristol with the boat supported by a scaffolding frame that I had made. The longest 80 miles of my life - waiting for it to topple over!!!
@AlexGoesSailing11 ай бұрын
That’s brilliant! That must have felt sketchy when towing it! Towing this one back was sketchy because of the width and length!

Trailer looks good Alex. My twin axle trailer twists the tyres like that but it's a 2800kgs trailer and my boat and trailer only weighs 1850kgs full up with fuel. So it's definitely not over loaded...
@AlexGoesSailing11 ай бұрын
Yeah it wasn’t terrible and could probably handle it. I have a better trailer coming which I will be happy about with some of the big trips that I have coming your way! Definitely wouldn’t trust this temporary trailer.

Well done lad, not for the faint of heart that. My prediction; if you sell this boat when the next upgrade opportunity comes along, I think that this is the boat that you will miss forever, whilst strolling the deck of your mega schooner with a pink gin in your hand. The perfect adventure boat for a young sailor. (Mine was a Mirror with a tarp. :)
@AlexGoesSailing11 ай бұрын
Thank you!!! Yeah I will miss this boat for sure! I will miss them all for different reasons but the adventure of it all is very exciting. Wonder if I could tow a mega schooner 😂 love a good mirror too!

Hi Alex. I have a 22 foot trailer sailer - Boomaroo 22/Catalina 22/Jaguar 22? in UK which I have to manoever down steep drive and turn into my garage. I have fitted a towbar to the front of my Toyota Landcruiser and in low ratio I can move the boat very easily into narrow places and positions. You can see where your going and turn the trailer much easier.

I have just done that to my discovery! Works a treat!

Great video....but i have to say i liked your previous boat more than this one....just my opinion...
@AlexGoesSailing11 ай бұрын
Yeah I like them both for different reasons. Really excited to learn about trimarans before I go bigger!
@PaulMernaugh7 ай бұрын
It is unfortunate the previous owner removed the ability to raise and lower the mast. Hopefully, you have it installed correctly by now. If you need an actual diagram and a vid on raising and lowering it, let me know.

It was unfortunate. Needed some work putting it back together and fixing it. All works now! Thanks for watching!

Have listened to the WATER WORLD audiobook? It's free on KZbin , and now that you have a trimaran it will hit different!

Isn’t that a film too?

@@AlexGoesSailing yes , and the narrator is one of the actors from the film , I listen to it during boat work.

@@AlexGoesSailing a fellow MAINEiac has a channel called THE ATOLE and it's an (everything water world related) fan club . I listen to books instead of music while my hands are busy because it keeps me from getting frustrated or down in the dumps when I discover I have to fix two things in order to be able to fix the things I set up for 😂
@AlexGoesSailing11 ай бұрын
@@captvaghunter oh wow that’s cool! Projects can quite easily get like that unfortunately. I typically watch other sailing channels when I’m doing boat work so I know it’s not just me sanding my life away 😂
