If you have lived and worked in those areas, you tend to get mostly indigenous patients, and if you need specialist care, you wouldn't need to drop into the local clinic or hospital, you would need to travel to the nearest large specialist health care institution, the RFDS do this on an almost daily basis, fly so many out to larger hospitals. Those so called indigenous only centres are not high level care centres.

We are human beings, that means we are racists, we favour what we are used to and comfortable with, we have preferences, some say that is a racist idea. If it is, then so be it. Additionally, that fake indigenous bloke said a NO result will make us look bad overseas, well that's BS. No one overseas cares. If you have lived overseas for a good amount of time or traveled widely, you would know, that Australia hardly gets a mention when you are overseas, we just don't rate on international news services, unless you go looking for Australian news online, you will hardly get a thing. The most common news story you will get is if the Cricket is on, or some other major sporting event, natural disaster maybe, they are rare, that's about it as far as Australian based news stories are concerned. Of course Aussies who aren't aware of this, struggle to contemplate it, as they have grown up thinking Australia is on the tips of everyone's tongues around the world. Sorry to disappoint.

The voice is a slippery slope, where increasingly more will be demanded. There is no boundary specified on what can affect indigenous peoples, so they will never be appeased. It all sounds lovely until you realise that it makes a treaty inevitable. And just so you know, with that treaty will come higher taxes (disguised as a levy no doubt) and more charges and regulations regarding land ownership and property rights of any kind which will drive up rents. And to top it off, you know damn well various competing indigenous groups are going to be making money from this and will rort the system for all its worth. It's just another racket disguised as social justice, by a government who really should focus on more pressing concerns, like inflation and interest rates. Maybe this is just a deliberate distraction.

Truth telling, here's a few that native Australians don't like to hear. Modern humans did not leave Africa until 50,000 y.a. so how could they have been here 65,000 y.a.? The oldest evidence of humans in Australia is 43,000 y.a. Mungo Man. But he was from an earlier migration than today's native Australians. Native Australians have about the same amount of Mungo Man genes as the average European has Neanderthal genes. Today's native Australians started arriving from Papua 30,000 y.a. and have been arriving ever since. Some "Aboriginal" ancestors arrived after the first fleet. Native Australians are not indigenous, all humans evolved in Africa and they are not aboriginal, Mungo Man's people were the original Australians. Todays natives are just another wave of migrants. Boomerang technology was invented in Europe at least 23,000 y.a. and didn't make it to Australia until 10,000 y.a. about the time is was superceded everywhere else. Pretty much every technology described in Dark Emu is completely false. Welcome to country is a fake ceremony created by Ernie Dingo in 1976 as a response to the Māori Hakka. That's the truth.

In the constitution, all Australians should have the same rights and should share the same responsibilities. Race has no place in the Australian constitution. The country doesn't need ‘The Voice’, and about the only ‘achievement’ ‘The Voice’ will without question bring about is further division. The voice doesn't exist to do anything but stroke the egos of a select few at the expense of everyone else. I, as most Australians would be more than happy to include the many, hundreds of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups, each with their own culture, language, beliefs and practices in Australia’s constitutional preamble it’s appropriate, true, and it’s important. It is of such importance that accuracy is almost equally meaningful. We as a nation need to take this important step towards harmony and recognition accurately and correctly, the fabrication of a ‘First Nation’ should not be included.

It's not a crime to acknowledge we have taken the wrong path. Are aboriginal communities better today when compared to a decade or 2 ago? A U-turn is needed. We've made mistakes go back and try again. To be honest getting out of the United Nations would be the first step to correcting a lot of our current social issues. They would be putting 90% of the Closing the GAP money into friendly pockets. They will be using dodge accounting to justify the spend. Upgrades to facilities like community centres, paint a wall = 10k. Travel for friends of the scheme to other countries to observe similar programs in Europe and North America. With the benefit of hindsight, the 1967 referendum that granted Federal Parliament the power to make laws in relation to Aboriginal people was the big mistake. Unintentionally, it opened the door to the mess that is today's Aboriginal industry (via successive legislation & High Court "discoveries"). We now need to go back 56 years & undo this mess via a new referendum to expunge from our constitution, all reference to race. This will stop the ongoing transformation of Aboriginals into a race of rent seekers. It would be real reconciliation... a true egalitarian society. Equal status. Equal rights. Equal opportunity.

They will be ‘chosen’ [that is, appointed; free elections for the Group of 24 are not proposed] based on regional and family (tribal) connections. This will allow powerful Aboriginal families and clans to dominate the membership process and ensure that only their family members are cc‘hosen’.

Recognition - Yes. Voice - No. Why? 1. What would the Voice do that the many government departments, consultations with indigenous people, and billions spent are already doing? 2. in a democracy, should one racial group have more influence than other racial groups? 3. Would the Voice be used to help disadvantaged indigenous people, or used as a platform for gaining money and power? I think 1. No (how could it?), 2. No, 3. Highly likely. Activists are already saying the Voice would just be the first step before treaty, demanding an annual percentage of GDP, Pay the Rent etc. Voting Yes with the assumption that you're helping to 'close the gap' is naive and illogical. As a compromise, why not legislate for the Voice without changing the Constitution?

If you take this out of Australian and apply it to other countries, it sounds and looks like racism. Europe has ancient civilizations and people that have a direct connection to their lands. If the decedent's of the original; Germans, Greece's, Italians etc... set up a voice that oversees their elected government, how would that be looked upon. It sounds like Colonialism and setting up new class systems. The systems would be based predominantly on the colour/color of the groups skin. I can't see why those countries can't apply the same logic to dictate to the predominantly non white recent immigrants. It all reminds me of Germany this time last century.

Besides the Voice, there the "truth telling" and "treaty" in the Uluru Statement? The Canberra Voice architect Tom Calma said, “Let’s get the referendum out of the way then focus on agreement making.” Tell us about the Uluru Dialogues which informed the Uluru Statement, which were recently obtained under the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) and how they mention “financial settlement such as seeking a percentage of GDP" and "truth commission, reparations, a settlement, the resolution of land, water and resources issues" and "Australia got a whole country for nothing, they haven’t even begun to pay for it”. Im voting NO

What are the voice going to say? Are they going to start giving radical new ideas that nobody has ever advocated for before? If there's these great ideas out there, we should be hearing them already. And if they're already being expressed, we should be able to judge them now and not wait until we have a voice to parliament.

Australia has grown to be one of the best places to live in the World. We got here on our current Constitution and contribution from all different ethnic backgrounds. The Constitution is the basis for ALL Australian laws. LEAVE IT ALONE, THINK OF ANOTHER WAY.

Improving Indiginous people's Lot can already been done without the VOICE. And those improvements should be provided now and there is no need to wait for The VOICE. The VOICE is a complete another thing. The VOICE is that "Bridge Too Far'. There is NO evidence provided to explain to Australia we need the VOICE in the constitution to bring about improvement to Indigenous People. The VOICE is a Power Grab and money for 22 unelected Inner City Activist. The VOICE is not needed tom improve Indigenous Lives on Urban Activist prospects!!! Why is the current PM spending so much time promoting the VOICE in preference to more pressing daily problems of cost of living and especially Power Cosst? Because the current PM will most likely end up being one of those 22 Voice Member. Lets wait and see !!!

how can it be Australians saying no to recognizing the existence of aboriginal people when the Constitution of Australia already recognises this. Of course we recognise their existence. How can we not , we see hear and read about their claims, their level of wastage and the papers report the figures of incarceration. The question is... what does the word recognise mean - it means seeing something that you have seen before.. We have been seeing this for 50 years, and the sound which was once at a normal level is now amplified by an emotional pm and his band of hopefuls.

Most Australians have no connection to the first settlers and convicts that came here. So they are not responsible for what was done back then. Yet Australians have been financially compensating indigenous people for so long. Enough is enough.

Indeed the majority of Australians do have no connection to the first settlers and convicts that came here. And even if they did how does that logic then follow, how are my children responsible for my actions? Insanity? The responsible parties, and the victims are all long long dead. Yet Australians have been financially compensating indigenous people hundred's of billions for generations. Why? Because we're colonial racists? Enough is enough.

There have been over 500 aboriginal nation groups in Australia. Now there are around 250. The creation of their groups and interaction between groups must of been very civilized and harmonious. Especially, land and territorial disputes. Imagine the peace and serenity. Australia must of been so pleasant before the Europeans arrived.

THE GAP Different analysts, in different conditions, define gaps differently: in Australia it relates mainly to differences in living standards between Aboriginal People and other members of the community (homeless people having less consideration). In America, a gap is mentioned repeatedly between the rich and the poor (deterioration of the middle class) demonstrated by a large homeless population. Another aspect, mentioned but not seem as seriously is the global gap between the educated and the under educated. Conspiracy advocates see this as being on purpose, whether it is or not, the social incidences look like going beyond what most analysts see or predict. The gaps, in fact, seem to located as a blank space in understanding and feeling. MOST Citizens in the Western World have been kept away from direct conflicts. Incidences are in sight but orientated towards fears. This is summarised here in very few words but pages and pages of narratives would not cover the topics. As a consequences of those existing gaps, authoritarian ruling is facilitated and Religions play mainly a submittive role, NOT REALISING THAT PSYCHOLOGY IS NOT OPPOSITION BUT A PROTESTING SHIELD, and as such does not require to be integrated within Practices. A joint opposition of non-scientific Humanities by both Governments and Religions are a major cause of dysfunctions in the World today, that includes wars and many Social dysfunctions. It has become hard to have a proper balance of power since the Left has been successful at conditioning what appears to be half the population: this makes the present situation very challenging indeed, where today is our future.
