Yeah - her haters who are apparently experts in the female australia breaking scene and know for a fact that we have better breakers - are Olympic sized deluded.. Newsflash : Australian Breaking scene is tiny and we aren't as good as other nations internationally. We only qualified because of a direct continental pathway. THAT is why we were so outclassed. Nothing to do with Raygun who I consider one of our greatest Athletes going out there and representing us as best she could in the eyes of the world who she knew would laugh at her. She doesn't get it's not about "power moves". She is an expert/PhD in dance. If she worked as hard as she said she did, she should have been able to score a single point. She said throughout this interview that she knew before her performance that people were not going to understand her style. Raygun's breaking record was manufactured by her friends at AUSBreaking. Raygun was defeating more talented B-Girls in battles with her husband Samuel Free serving as a judge at many of those contests. Raygun, Samuel Free and AUSBreaking ran a long con starting when breaking was announced as a 2024 Olympic event in December of 2019. And, no, it's not a conspiracy theory but is instead based on verifiable facts.

@@CarlieBonavia Because she knows she took a spot she didn’t deserve. And she shouldn’t be the only one apologizing - whoever was involved in getting her there should, too. She even says so herself, she knew she didn’t stand a chance. What athlete gets to the Olympics knowing they are at a disadvantage?? Totally wrong mindset. She just wanted to go for the sake of going, and bluffing about how she went and “competed” in Paris 2024.

Hey, in all fairness, we're so used to watching the USA and Asian countries breaking. Raygun was artistic & unique by incorporating Aussie icon moves. Cudos to her artistic flair, maybe it's something we're not accustomed to seeing these moves, but Raygun did it great. She also had some standard breaking moves that we're all accustomed to seeing in any battle. Maybe the two together weren't the best idea, but she was technical in her moves (okay, admittedly not the kangaroo hop). Raygun was an artist, unique and technical at the same time. Like I said, something we're not used to seeing. That's why there's so many haters. It maybe wasn't a great choice of moves on a world stage representing Australia, but cudos for trying to be artistic.

"not being familiar with breaking"...yeah, tell that to the actual global breaking community. She still seems to be in complete denial, gaslighting her audience, rather than just accepting what happened and apologizing. If you've done a bad performance and get criticised for it by your peers, it's not hate mate - it's a critique of the performance. If a movie gets 0/10 on Rotten Tomato by reviewers and audiences alike, people are not "hating on the director", no matter what your film crew tells you. I'm not saying she's a bad person, but she's clearly living in a bubble of denial and deflecting any responsibility.
