I bought stuff recently - so very well packed. Hammer price was great, but then you have to add on all the extra charges, it was not quite as much of a bargain, but still I was happy, but I may have been better to wait until what I wanted came up on ebay. It is lot of fun to bid live with an auctioneer, though, so I reckon it's worth trying it at least once, but remember the hammer price needs to be a bit lower to account for the charges - not complaining at all - it was an interesting lesson.

Yeah I always try to take into account the auction fees then also the eBay selling fees when bidding at auctions, I do get outbid a lot of the time 😬

Couldn't believe this popped up. Hope you are happy with all of those and you do well on e bay. Everything there except the Peckett and those Pullmans were mine. I know you got them at a good price because I was very unhappy with the auction house. Seriously thou all the best to you because I have got some bargains in the past and that day was your day. Yeah vectis can be a little funny sometimes, I’m keeping the grand central coaches for myself, the rest will be going to good homes 🙂

Impressive auction purchases. I bought from Vectis Auction last wee, two lots. Very pleased with final prices charged. Did you buy from Vectis?

Daniel is a shop in Windsor. Used to have a nice toy selection when I last went many years ago now.

One in Ealing as well. They sold Hornby for decades. I am talking about right in the begining. Hornby dropped them in 24 hours like they did so many others about 5 years ago when all the concessions went. It was down hill from there or Hornby. I think this was Kohlers first action when he got back but I could be wrong.

@@MattsTrainStopthe one in Windsor seems to be open according to their website. As said above, nothing on there regarding trains. It used to be a nice section when I went but we are going back 15 years now.

No. Daniels is a large department store and very old school and sell quality items. Hornby need to get the concessions back. Another one that binned was the large shop at the train station on Anglesey with the longest name. They used to have a huge range.
