@@cheryldavidson-yo1et Well, since you liked my answers, let me tell you the only 3 things I promised my wife 38 years ago: 1- I would continue to, imperfectly, follow Christ whether she wanted me to or not. I have no choice in that. 2- I would never bore her. Being a severe manic depressive that off any drugs, even caffeine, people routinely thought I was on cocaine, amphetamines and just a wee bit oit LSD to give me kaleidoscope eyes; life has been difficult for her these 38 years. Never boring though. 3- I would never be sexually unfaithful. As a physician (internist) women have to pay ME for me to get into them. :> That humorous bit aside though. I have always understood that the weakest part of a man lies between a man's leg....and there also the strongest most resilient part of a woman. Wifes ought protect their husbands where they are weakest. Mine has, do the same. Sooooo will this finally get me banned? Yeah well, Christ is King of Kings and Jew of Israelites!

I agree with the answer though to say his preaching in 1Peter 3: 18- 20 was to judge the spirit is to add our own words to what the Bible says. What does preaching mean? What is the essence of preaching? Isn't preaching rendered to the disobedient for obvious reasons? When Christ preached to the living, before he died to the flesh, wasn't He emphatic about His mission that He came to preach to the lost/outcast/sinners/unbelievers etc? Once His mission was done here on earth, 1Peter says He went to preach to those that had lived before He came. Abraham and everyone else in Abraham's bosom were not captives, but were already free.

Pastor, I have heard that Jesus went to the tormenting place, during the three hours of darkness. The price of sin had to be paid both in flesh and the spirit. And it was after this ordeal, that Jesus said 'It was finished'. Sharing my thoughts respectfully, based on what I have heard. The scripture doesnt tell much, but what has been declared is enough for our faith and salvation. Respect your work.

Regarding pastor’s statement explaining 3days/3nights (28:09-30:00). We refer the time we’re in as the 21st century even tho it’s 2024.. because in part we’re already into the next century (anything over 2000). Just like 1999 was referred to 20th. century. Hope this helps.

Dear Pastor Guzik, first thank you for your teaching!!! I watch your videos and use your commentary. Thank you for remaining true to the word of God. I agree with the answer about prophets and apostle titles today and that Jesus is the cornerstone and it is complete in the Bible but in first Corinthians were Paul gives a list of the gifts of the spirit one of them is prophecy. Some Christians believe that this verse is the one that says they can still become prophets. I was invited to join an online group thatI really enjoyed but then I noticed some addressed each other as prophet and prophetess. Yes it is weird I don’t belong to their church and I do not believe in it. I agree with you and I feel uncomfortable to call this individual prophet even his name changed to Paul I don’t know if I should leave the group. God bless you and your family Happy Easter. You have the right idea, it is fair to say that the gift of prophecy through the Holy Spirit has continued, or that an evangelist or missionary goes out and works in the tradition of the apostles, but to officially or unofficially award such lofty titles to ourselves or others seems to carry with it a strange intoxication that is unwelcome, and otherwise mostly avoided by focusing primarily on the work of the Lord, and not on the status, elevation and prestige of our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I do believe that Jesus was in heaven when he said to the thief near him that will be with him in paradise, but also he was in hell Redeaming the souls there, because he discarded the human body and was in omnipotent divine body and he can be in many places at the same time , but this îs my understanding only and not specified in the Bible in a direct way

For a future Q&A: I have been asked to be a coordinator for a wedding for a young (36 yrs old) lady. She has been divorced 10 years, and her fiance also divorced a long time. Both are believers, and agree they broke their marriage covenant vows. They both state they repented of (participating in) this action and they tried to reconcile with their spouses, but in the process of time the marriage vows were not reconciled. Their former spouses have now remarried. My question is - are they to remain unmarried for the rest of their lives? This is the direction they have been given by their pastor. I would like a direction from another teacher of God's Word. Am I encouraging disobedience to God's Word by participating in this upcoming wedding? Thank you for your answer.

1 Peter 4:6, when read in context, is actually speaking of the unsaved, or those people who are dead in their sin, before they are saved and their dead spirits are brought to life. It is NOT speaking of Jesus preaching to the faithful while He was dead. The following passage talks about His descent into the earth. ‭Ephesians 4:9-10 (KJV‬) "[9] (Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? [10] He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fill all things.)”

Here's my take. For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead: Peter also says that because of this eternal judgment the gospel was preached to the dead. The righteous dead know and live on in constant awareness of the reality of eternity - and are rewarded by this understanding as they live according to God in the spirit. Peter has already told us that Jesus preached to the spirits in prison, preaching a message of judgment (1 Peter 3:19). Apparently during this same time Jesus also preached a message of salvation to the faithful dead in Abraham’s Bosom (Luke 16:22) who anticipated the work of the Messiah for them. This preaching to those who are dead was not the offer of a second chance, but the completion of the salvation of those who had been faithful to God under their first chance. In doing this, Jesus fulfilled the promised that He would lead captivity captive (Psalm 68:18 and Ephesians 4:8) and He would “proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound” (Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18). It may also be that Peter here had in mind those in the Christian community who had already died, perhaps even dying as martyrs. If this is the case then Peter used their heroic example as a way to encourage his suffering readers to also be faithful.

Dear pastor and followers. As far as I understand, as the bible teaches that dead is the absence of life, and dead people doesn't know anything, also Jesus was dead. If not there is no salvation. So teaching this is actually bringing the truth of the bible you become a philosopher. Jesus actually died. Like everybody eventually dies. Unless you believe that Jesus is God, well, then he couldn't die. God can not die. Well, this all sounds to you a know-better-person to but this is scriptural true. The truth.

When we die, our human existence ends. But, do we continue in another form. When Jesus died, his human body ended, but Jesus's spirit never ended but transformed.

Hi sheila smith, a child knows what is dead. Dead is the absence of life. I am not a scientist but believe the the only source is the bible. So not I claim anything here. Dead is dead. God is the of life. So yes, I do believe that Jesus died. Not just his body. Jesus as whole.

@jessejonker498 Of course we understand the meaning of, "dead." As stated earlier, the tree as we know it, as it presented itself in living form, is dead. But the elements of that tree transformed in to living things. The question is, whether all aspects or elements of the tree disappear or whether elements of the tree transform. Everything is constantly changing, a fact of science, of observation. Jesus, the human died, but the spiritual aspects of Him did not. Until God changes the laws of nature He created, all things continue, albeit in different forms.

Death has been described as "separation"; the separation of the soul from the body. The mortal body of Jesus was dead, but Jesus was alive on the spiritual plane. When he arose, he arose in a glorified body, different than the one that died. I hope that this helps.
