@Will Swift Even if she had not gone on a blind date and had remained single, she would still have had a successful career in acting and international relations which she was already engaging in alongside her career. And as a natural consequence of a successful career, she would naturally meet successful people whether or not they are aristocrats or royals. The term social climber has a negative conotation; pray tell how is she a social climber by having the same career aspirations like you and I? Unlike social climbers and socialites, this woman actually had a full life, career and multiple income streams before she went on that blind date. It's obvious till today that he is more "all over her" than the other way round. And they are clearly a strong team which a lot of couples would do well to emulate.

I don’t know, this is not evident for anyone because there are psychologically factors that come into play, not just beauty or superficial things like that. If you have a 10 year relationship with someone, it can take time to recover and next thing you know you are 35. Not to mention if you want to have children, that can make you feel like your dreams are drifting away. You would have to be very strong and focused to get out of this funk and move on.

Thanks Anna for doing this. I can relate to her story when it comes to "complicated family dynamics". Some family members will go to lengths to smear you for no reason. I understood her situation because I lived it. To all the ladies in the comment section parroting what the British media has been publishing from day one, I recommend you learn from Anna. She read those tabloids too! but she focused on the good things and extracted the teachable material for YOU! I don't see anything wrong in having a dating coach or attending a finishing school, why does that make her a creep, a stalker, an opportunist? Why? in the meantime you are here on this channel! interesting.

I have to add Anna that in an interview Harry said it all started when a friend asked him who his celebrity crush was and he replied: Meghan Markle from suits. And his friend was delighted that he knew her and so the date was arranged. Megan didn't know much about him(she was single and looking for love) but she agreed to meet him because the humanitarian work he did and she is known for doing humanitarian work herself in Africa(supporting girls) so it wasn't really a "blind date" as they knew who they were going to meet. @@traciebevis856 that’s actually a commonly misused quote. The true quote actually means something different entirely. The original quote meant that the family you choose has stronger ties than the one you were born into. Original: “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.” Though you may have had good intentions, this saying gaslights people into keeping relationships with people who emotionally abuse them, lack boundaries or don’t respect them.

Meghan lived with her father after the divorce. Her mother was in jail. He raised her and paid for everything she had. Which she publicly denied during her United Nations speech when she said she worked for her tuition. What a joke. And look what she did to her own father. That is her PR downfall. No matter how much she tells people to be kind, or be a humanitarian, how she cuts off ties with her own family will always bite her. She successfully upgraded alright, but she is not a good role model for young women. Maybe a good model for ruthless social climbing, hypocrisy, and using people.

Agreed. I think there is a cultural difference between the British and the Americans. The Brits are used to their class system where everyone stays in their place or will be labeled a “social climber” whereas Americans have that spirit of optimism, ambition, seizing opportunity and achieving goals. So anyone who doesn’t follow this stagnation model is deemed inelegant, no class. But if we had listened to this weak model, we would still be a British colony and look at the other British colonies in Africa and India - exploited and in poverty. So all these people hating on her don’t like that she’s unapologetic about following her ambition and making the best of opportunity.
