Great talk. One point - I get around 100 grams +/- 10 per day, and I don't spend much time in the bathroom, at least, not more than anyone else, and probably less because having a bowel movement is easy and quick - like it should be. There's not really an upper limit on fiber intake.

The only thing he glossed over was Paleo's strong emphasis on avoiding what is toxic to humans in general and to individuals in particular. This avoidance of toxins explains all the rules of Paleo as well as why one Paleo diet is different from another. Nearly all will avoid wheat products but some will eat brown rice or sweet potatoes. Nearly all will avoid dairy but some will eat cheese or fermented dairy. Paleo people tweak their diet when new research/thinking surfaces. It is not dogma. Nearly all would say the bottom tier of the Paleo pyramid is vegetables and fruits. Paleo's reiteration of Pollan's creed would be Eat food. Mostly plants. Avoid toxins.

If nutritional epidemiologist were charged with the task of resolving climate change, they would recommend we clip the wings of migratory birds after the equatorial migration.
