Eh they'll be written even if it's by someone else after he's dead, the issue is will they come anywhere close to living up to all the insane expectations that are now behind them that he never intended nor thought was possible, or will they just be disappointments like the show was after they stopped adapting material. Just saying, if you're one of these people that think he's some kind of grifter just doing zero work, that's not a thing with novels at that level. He didn't write those original novels years ago to become cash cows, barely anyone even read them at first. For an author that's like birthing a piece of your soul into the world. Jon I believe thinks to himself that Sansa was his least favorite sibling, which makes sense. Robb was his bestfriend, Arya and Bran looked up to him. Rickon was just a toddler. It’s heavily likely in the books Stannis will defeat the Boltons. The question is whether it’s with Jon at his side or one comes to the others aid at the final stage of the battle. My guess is regardless Sansa, Littlefinger, the Vale will come to Winterfell either during or after the battle to press Sansa’s claim to the North. Stannis will have to make a choice then and likely he will side with her because legally she is the heir and he needs the Vales support.

No, D&D just took significant parts of Dany and Sansa's characters from books. Sansa is the only ordinary character if you think about it. Her power is based on her name only. So she has to be soft in order to accomplish her goals and is always used by other players - ussually those characters are characters with hard power. Dany on the other hand tries to be soft but she has the hard power to rely on, they are complete opposites. also Sansa's family was killed by Targaryen Mad king.. And in the show they forgot to build that contrast up because they rushed it.

To win the north he offered Jon to leave the watch and become warden of the north to rally the other northern houses. As long as he married a wildling woman to unite the wildlings to his cause and the north.

Jon x Sansa romance are much more healthier and less "ewww" compared to Jon x Dany romance. Before any Jonerys fans try to bash me for being bias on Jonsa, I actually love both pairings. Dany and Sansa are both my favourite heroines and I absolutely hate how ugly S8 made their on-screen rivalry. I really wish for love triangle plot between 3 of them; Dany and Sansa 'fighting' for Jon's affection while Jon is torn between his cousin and aunt. 😁😁😁😁😁😁

@@thejurijo9388 despite both Sansa and Arya are Jon's cousin by blood, Jon's relationship dynamics with both are different. I prefer Jonsa than Jonrya. Jonrya romance felt much more 'ewww' compared to Jonsa. Even though based on Westeros and Northener tradition, both Jonsa and Jonrya are acceptable/permissible, but Jonrya may not be suitable since Jonrya relationship are more 'sibling-like' rather than romantic. On AO3, there are so many Jonrya fanfiction romance that made me felt 'ewww'. I prefer Arya being together with Gendry. Gendrya are much more healthier.

I was rooting for a Jon and Sansa marriage. It’d make the most sense naratively and their union would be the accumulation of ASIOF. 1. Kinda incest yet not really (Ned parents were 1st cousins) and Sansa was raised to avoid Jon and look down on him. 2. Torn together and reunited after the world tore itself apart. 3. A Stark and a Targaryan again bond together. An overlooked romance. 4. Sansa always wanted a prince and Jon is by birthright the KING.

number 4 i get the same vibes as "you'll never wed the prince, you'll wed the KING." it would be fitting for them plus it makes sense with he Targ and Stark union and each contain the fire and ice symbolism. yeah it would be sort of incesty, but its nothing new to ASOIAF. I can't see John ruling the south, he is made for the North so him being king of the North fits well with his ending, and in the North he is closer to the wildings (a group he connects to deeply). and i just can't see John and Dany as a couple, best friends in the same sense that Ned and Robert were but not romantically.

@holitinne I wonder, though, would Ned have paired them up? Or maybe he was speaking more broadly at the time. Another theory I've heard is that Sansa will be queen of westeros, and she'd marry FAgeon. So a Blackfyre will sit the throne in the south, and the Targ/Stark will sit the throne in the north. I don't know much with ASOIAF (I refuse to read the books unless they get finished), so I'm not sure about the personality of the FAegon and if he would be "worthy" of Sansa. Just another theory I've heard

I do think they will meet in the books because their storylines are headed that way. Jon is constantly having to choose between the Wall and Winterfell. And Sansa is constantly associated with Winterfell by others. And if anyone has forgotten the snow winterfell scene in the books, then i pity them. Tze's essay on the similarity of their stories is a wonderful read. Ah, that lovely line when Sansa's coming down the mountain and hears the ghost wolf wind wailing is epic and that's when she thinks it would be so sweet to see him again. Knowing Martin though, they'll probably both be descending upon Winterfell at the heads of separate armies, poised for a political fight.

Why won't they meet up in the books? As far as we know she's set to be betrothed and married to Harry the Heir of the Vale who's next in line to the Arryn throne behind Robin Arryn. I seriously don't think that its going to take a lot of effort for her to convince Harry and the rest of the Vale to help her press her claim to Winterfell and come to Jon's aid in something like it was shown in the show.

They absolutely will meet up in the books. Jon will be resurrected, and since he died no longer bound by oath to the Watch. He'll be free to take Winterfell back for the Starks or make a claim to the Iron Throne. Either way Sansa will be involved.
