I was visiting relatives in Toronto. I called a cab to go to the airport, and struck up a conversation with the driver. He told me he had been a doctor in his home country. And here he was driving a cab. That infuriated me, and I felt so sad for him. Why are all these doctors being denied their profession, especially when our country is so short of doctors?

This happened to refugees living in Norway when we lived there also. A lady cleaning houses was a former attorney in the country she fled. Like really? It feels like a form of exploitation.
