Stockyard Express needs to set-up an online ordering system. I called before Christmas to place an order, but never got a call back. I went to another dealer that takes on-line orders.

I agree. But it is a bit of an old fashioned store. Too much work to go fully automated online at this point.

I have one of those stockyard exclusive El Capitan sets with the 6 cars. I think Clyde said there were 30 made for them, and only had a couple left. When I picked it up, I had that set, 2 bridges, another Premier engine, and a DCS remote in my pile …and that beautiful C&O 44 tonner. I have been kicking myself ever since I saw the other video of Chris’ visit. I guess it’s true…never put a train back on the shelf because it won’t be there when you go back. That was an expensive day already, and I got some great stuff, and I had to draw the line somewhere I guess. I’m glad Chris got it!

It's always great to see you and Chris posting videos and updates, Jason! This one was especially great because you were both in the same one! You play off each other very well. Quite a shopping tour you had at Stockyard Express! Those Sears and Roebuck trailers are really eye catchers and look so well on the move! Zach of Country Bunker's Trains has the same Berkshire engine pulling his newly acquired Atlas U.S. Army Red Cross heavy weight passenger cars: Isn't that a coincidence that you chose to inaugurate your new U.S. Army munitions trailers behind the same locomotive? Hopefully, Chris will soon have a video update about his additions from Stockyard Express when gets back home.

@MarshallTrains3 жыл бұрын
Assuming that observation car has a camera in it, I have the same car. I need to figure out connecting to the camera again and occasionally it de-couples from my other UP passenger cars but I really do like it.
@JDStucks3 жыл бұрын
It does gave the camera. I got it working the other day and its pretty cool. But I look forward to getting a gopro to do the same job
@MarshallTrains3 жыл бұрын
@@JDStucks Yeah I used to shoot a bunch of video with a GoPro until mine died. Back then everyone used to just put a camera in front of their engine. I started playing around with putting it further back. It makes for a much more interesting video. I would mount mine to a flatcar. My best experiences also came with a flat car in front of that car as well. It gives the camera more opportunity to capture side views of the consist ahead of it along with more scenery. It’s really cool if you put it at the tail end of a scale passenger consist. Empty flat car after the observation car and then the camera on a second flat car. You can catch some really awesome shots of the whole train on sweeping curves. Anyway, I’ve been watching for years. I’ve got a buddy Bruce Giersch whose layout was featured in the Oct/Nov issue of O Gauge Railroading magazine. I shot his layout with a GoPro. In that one we didn’t do the extra flat car but it still turned out pretty cool.

I agree with Chris. When l visited Chicagoland Hobby from DC, l walked out with a Lionel Santa Fe SD45. I was at Grzyboski l purchased the Santa Fe F3 set from 1991. You can't visit a hobby store in another part of the country and walk out empty handed. That should be a felony.

Hi Jason, I've been watching your videos for years and I always appreciate the content on this channel. Now that you live in the Detroit area and you are considering your first Lionel engine you might want to check out Great Lakes Hobby and Trains in Sterling Heights Michigan. Stockyard express and online ordering don't come close to Great Lakes Hobby and Trains prices.
