Definitely option 2! Option 1 is too basic, option 3 defeats the openness of the space, being on an island, you want the indoor, outdoor office vibes. And ooohh that tub! Excited! Should do a beautiful oasis kinda vibes sorta like a tub in the middle of nature, lots of greenery, plants etc and colour to compliment the natural elements around.

i love option 2. i can imagine and am loving the wall of plants and office-y stuff that divides the entrance to the studio apartment and the office space, and i am a fan of dividing large spaces with furniture like bookshelves and stuff like that so option 2 is my favorite.

Option 2 for the room divider, a black ship with rainbow accents would be amazing,and I like Joey’s idea for a gazebo or picnic table so you can have a shaded place to sit while Moon plays. I envisioned a trellis fence with climbing vines near the bathtub. Having plants all over the deck would make it a great place to relax and take a bath!

Option 2. I love the way it acts up as an imaginary wall and gives you the space for your office as well as the guest room. Also, brings the outdoors inside. 😍

I like option #3 with tons of plants for the office space entrance, as long as it goes all the way to the ceiling. Then you can add topiary dividers to close the office space; or curtains, large plants, bamboo, etc. That will enclose the space too, while still giving access to it. For the bathtub, you could also use topiary dividers. Whatever motif you use in the office wall, might be used for the bathtub area to homogenize the look. The rainbow motif is a terrific idea to extend the office floor to the outdoors. I will keep in mind a design that links the 3 spaces you are working on, by a common denominator/motif.

I love option 2, it makes a cute entry to the guest room..plus, with all sorts of plants…gorgeous! Option 3 looks like you just “set it there for a second” until you have the moving guys bring it inside to put it where it belongs 😂

Option 2 is fun! You could always add a “faux wall” or “curtain” made of different hanging plants (at varying heights) to disguise/soften the existing garage door. Have y’all thought about painting the cinder block wall behind the outdoor tub different rainbow colors to accent their funky geometric style? You could even add plants into the open spaces of the blocks and create a plant/green wall as well! Abstract, draping, whimsical lil’ plants were what I visualized if that helps paint the picture. Just a thought 😊 Love your channel, btw! 🌺✨ OOP! one other idea: painting the garage door (the indoor side) or wallpapering it, so it’s a moving accent wall 👁👄👁

I would do a picnic table instead of a garden next to the play set! I would put the garden around the side of the house or in the space that was off to the left side of the play set so it’s out of the way and the space is cohesive for playing and hanging out!

Congratulations on having beautiful views when in the office and/or using the exercise equipment. Based upon our experience of living in a hurricane zone, I have two recommendations for hurricanes and strong tropical storms: 1. You will need to move outdoor equipment indoors. Highly recommend putting the office furniture, outdoor exercise equipment, and large planters on wheels. It is much easier to move these items indoors when they're on wheels. To make room for the outdoor equipment, the indoor furniture may need to be moved. Again, it is much quicker to make room when indoor furniture is on wheels. 2. If one needs to step down to walk from the inside to the outside, make or use ramps to help easily move equipment outdoors to/from indoors. The ramps will make it safer and easier to move equipment outdoors to/from indoors. Preparing for a hurricane or strong tropical storm can be stressful. But, these 2 recommendations can make hurricane/tropical storm preparation much more relaxed. Best wishes for the wonderful adventure you are on!!

i love option 3! with some adjustments it makes the space feel less like a garage and more like an intentionally built indoor/outdoor living with a garage door for convenient storm protection! plus you could play with colored light on the walls through the shelves like a stained glass effect! it would bring color onto the lighter walls occasionally but in a very organic way like the ground! and who wouldn’t want a plant wall?

Also, for the backyard: I live in a tropical country just like Hawaii, and although the gazebo looks amazing (I have one), it has to be SUPER well structured in order to be safe or else it will rot/fly away, trust me! lol ours has a lot of plants that go around it and we aren’t able to sit under it anymore bc there’s a lot of insects and the plants are too long, but as long as you make a cover for it on top, like an acrylic one, it’s an amazing idea to hide from the sun! Also, you will invest some time for those plants to grow (mine took 6 years to grow hahah but it looks incredible) hope it helps!!!!

Yep same here,we live on a caribbean island and the termites just LOVE any wood you leave around, structural or scrap hahaha. We treat our wood with a special liquid against termites + paint it before we use it and still we have to spray around wood structures every 1 to 2 months. So keep that in mind!!

For the office space I go with option 1 or 2 (preferably 2 if it was my house just because I love the idea of the guest room having its own entrance especially if they wanna come and go while you guys work) the colorful ship idea is awesome and I am in love with the Bali vibes (or Hawaiin vibes 🤣) I got when Kate explained her vision for the outdoor wash area. Whatever you do will be fab though!

I'm all for option 3 in the office space. I love the idea of an indoor outdoor wall with lots of plants! I like the black and fun colors for the play space/pirate ship, but will it get too hot in the sun? Maybe a big "sail" can canopy over the top to keep it cool. The outside tub area already looks like it will be a fun space. Big plants, maybe a table that will hold a glass of wine or two or some rubber duckies/Moon's tub toys. I'm excited to see how it all turns out! You three are all so cute!

So, based on what you've done so far with the place, I'd say: 1) create the 'hallway' to the room in the garage and make it fun nature vibes (plaaaants) 2) build a non-pirate black ship but with some color too (maybe not rainbow to contract with the rest of the house) 3) completely agree with Kate's view on the bath tub situation and I think this corner should be colorful as heck with loads of cute flowers Can't wait to see the progress soon!

Hello Mr Kate, I was surprised to see this fruit you cooked. In my island we call it "breadfruit" and most often eat it by boiling it in salted water. Once the fork goes in, it's ready. It should be firm but not too soft.😋☺. I think Hawaii has few things in common with Guadeloupe (French West Indies)
