Regarding the clean out pipe in the shower? From someone who knows, DON’T DO IT! I live in a townhouse and the sewer pipes from the other units are all connected. When someone else clogs up their line, raw sewage backs up into MY shower, through the floor drain. Also, they conveniently placed a floor drain in each bathroom, and the raw sewage backs up through those and has flooded my apartment several times. 😱 Even when it doesn’t “back up,” and they “only” clog the pipe so the toilets don’t flush, the plumbers have to come into MY apt to remove MY toilet to snake it out and they ALWAYS make a terrible mess and track raw sewage all over, as they trek back and forth out the door. 😱😡There is no cleanout OUTSIDE and management is too cheap to add one! 😡 Trust me, you DO NOT want that kind of mess in your shower!!!!!!! You will never feel safe taking your shoes off in the shower again, once that happens!!!!!! (Or anywhere else they track it!) Hopefully, it never will. But save yourself the stress. No matter what it costs, MOVE the cleanout pipe to OUTSIDE‼️‼️‼️‼️ Edited to add: The plumbers also manage to spray and spatter raw sewage all over the walls, appliances, sink, mirrors, and anything else in the bathroom! Light switches, doorknobs, light fixtures. Not kidding. Wish I was! 😬

I love that this is an outdoor shower you can access from the inside bathroom. A pet peeve I have about outdoor showers is then having to run around the house to get inside. This is much nicer

I’m most excited about the outdoor shower than anything else. It’ll look so good! 🌴 It’s one of my favorite things about traveling to any tropical location. Also, you are absolutely 100% reasonable to be upset about the poop chute.

As someone who grew up in the 80s when tiled countertops were all the rage and has lived in several houses with them, I can tell you that they're pretty gross and hard to clean 🤷

I habe a 1955 home in Southern California and I love my original tiled bathroom and kitchen counter tops and I don't have a problem cleaning the white grout at all

I love the IDEA of the shower but I also feel like I would end up hating it if it was my ONLY option to shower (and I guess its the guest house so its wont be the only option when everything is done). Like it seems like a fun NOVEL experience, I just think its probably a novel experience that gets old after a while, like if the weather is bad or if it attracts a lot of bugs etc idk. Also a little iffy on the glass door to the outdoor shower, because a get it aesthetically, and i know there is a wall thats pretty high, but I also just think “well if someone has the right angle is elevated bit higher…..they can see right into the WHOLE bathroom”
