I thought you were spot on for most of the things you highlighted. But I will say this. In the 1st game where he scores 18pts he was playing SF. The game where he had 11 pts he was playing SG. Due to all the injuries to wing players the Hawks had during Summer league. I believe he will play SF for the Hawks. If he does, that's big for him because, as you saw, his guard like skill set will set him apart from most SF. I think everything you said about him needing to tighten up his ball handling, creation with the ball in his hand, timing, all of that will look less clunky at SF vs 2G and will give him the opportunity to improve in those areas while still being very effective from Day 1. But I personally am excited about his basketball IQ and his understanding of the basics and fundamentals is what will give him a chance to be more than a high level role player if he wants. The sky is the limit for him because of those fundamentals. If he builds on that, of course, add some weight and strength and a killer mentality watch out.

What's their starting 5? cuz Deandre Hunter is still there, Jalen Johnson is still there and Dyson Daniels is the newest addition, so im thinking PG: Trae, SG: Bogi, SF: Zach, PF: JJ C: Capela, Sixthman: Deandre
@sweetnessdabutta99853 ай бұрын
@HahabalaUajj so I base the starting five off development and who complements Trae and JJ the most. I'm only interested in getting the most out of Trae and JJ period. So, with that being said. starting 5 is....Young, Daniels, Zacc, JJ, Okungwu. This lineup does a few things for the team as a whole and JJ and Trae. 1. It allows Daniels and Zacc to guard the best backcourt threats on the floor. 2. It also allows JJ and Okungwu to not have to guard on the ball and be help defenders and get rebounds. 3. Zacc, even at the 3, is going to get all the Bogi type looks from 3 all the pen down screens, back door action all the catch and shoot. Basicly, everything you want him to get and be able to do, he is going to get all of that offensively with Trae and JJ feeding him and freeing him up for quality shots. 4. The size and defense and athleticism that would be on the floor surrounding Trae is everything you could want. 5. JJ and Trae and JJ, and Okungwu random are magic. 6. That starting line-up allows Bogi to stay as the 6th man and bring scoring punch off the bench. Hunter played his best brand of basketball, coming off the bench. 7. This allows the 2nd unit to have vets on it to go along with Bufkin, Capela, Gueye, Nance, Vit, and Matthews. It's just makes the bench so much deeper and allows you to mitch and match whatever you need to get the job done qtr to quarter half to half. 8. It allows you to have a fresh Hunter and Bogi for the end of the game if you need them to close games. The line-up you close games with doesn't have to be the line-up you start games with.

In France we love polyvalence, and he needs 1 or 2 years to developpe all his competences, but he has, like Salaün or Wemby, this little think named "french flair" in rugby, which make the difference and is spectacular.. Something between creativity and madness.. Go for our French "basket Champagne" team.. 🇨🇵 ❤

The shot selection was meh, I agree, but I’m holding out hope it’s because they told him to shoot more 3s. They said multiple times the Hawks were encouraging him to get up 3s, so I’m hoping that’s why.

@@charlesdalast5604 the hawks are a unique case in the sense that they were just simply looking for a player that best fit their system. They honestly are a mediocre team due to a misalignment of ideals and are still trying to figure it out. The hawks franchise still believe that Trae is their main player and they continue to keep building a team around him. The hawks dont need another guard like Reed shepard.

So what? He's looking to be a great fit on the team. Giannis wasn't a #1 pick talent but you'd draft him at 1 if you could start over, right? The order only matters if they could have gotten something in return for trading down without risking someone else drafting him, unless you think he just doesn't belong in ATL.
