Laura, I love long videos..Longer the better..I have been watching for almost 2 years.. When I was bedbound and very ill..you were my go to person to watch on KZbin.. Your voice helped me..so calming. So, I know 100% God sent you to me to help me keep my mind on something agreeable and lovely.. It was very theraputic..and got me up and trying new things. Then I put all my new found knowledge and proven products you used to use..you spurred me on to start planting ... as a way to deal with my loss of mobility and daily pain. I even planted a little vegetable garden..and it has been so rewarding in many ways.. So, If you are reading this..Thank you for everything! Your my inspiration..

I love your friendliness and respect your honesty…“sometimes things just happen” in our gardens. Thanks for who you are and for keeping it real. New property name could be something to do with expanding horizons and/or your loving desire to inspire and to share the bounty. The name of “The Hartley” could become a tribute to one of your favorite English towns or gardeners…how about the name of the village where you first toured the Hartley facilities? However, I personally love calling it THE Hartley as the acknowledgment of a dream you both worked hard to see become a reality. Blessings to you and your families.

Haha, when my son was young we couldn’t figure out why he kept saying he was very lonely. When we began making dinner he pointed to a can on the shelf and hollered “very lonely”. He was pointing to a can of ravioli!.

Thanks for reading and considering my comment about the cats and lilies. The fence or barrier sounds like a great idea to keep the kitties safe. Maybe some repels all sprinkled around the base of the fence too while the lilies are in bloom.

Call it the Hartley. It is one, and you should be proud of the fact you have one. The House and The Estate is how we refer to our sections of property and we were blasted by someone for saying "Estate". It is, though, it supports many people's lives including ours.

Ignore the people- call it “The Hartley” you’ve waited so long for this gem (just like many people wait for “The Chanel”) perhaps call it “The Glass House” if you feel compelled to change. But seriously commenters take a chill pill.

Thank you for the update on the pear espalier! It doesn't seem to make it into any of the big tours since it's so out of the way. I hope the birds leave you some pears, but you certainly have enough to share with them. The entire bed is beautiful; your own little secret garden. ~ Lisa

Knowing that lilies can be fatal to the cats, it may sound like putting up some kind of fencing would help - but, if experience with cats counts - we know that fences don't prevent cats from going anywhere they want to go!

I've tried to copy that and I never can get it quite look like yours. But thank you for continuing over these years instructing and encouraging all of us wanna be be gardeners. I still have so much to learn, and learning is much more enjoyable watching you do it. Thanks! Keep up the good work.
