I've survived cancer several times at the same time I lost both my parents and I also decided to divorce the father of my children. Discovered Dimash (SOS) in 2019. And he has FOR SURE been a part of my emotional healing. I've never really cried to music before. Another incredible thing is that Dimash is singing in French which is not his native language. He sings in multiple languages and it never matters. Listeners know his universal language. :) He also acts, sings everything from opera to rap, and is an ambassador for peace. Loving your reactions to the stunning Dimash. I have watched every day since I discovered him in 2017. Been to three overseas concerts. I’m 78 year old U.K. lady. He brings me to tears often. He's doing this song in French. It was written by a French composer. He sings and talks in at least 6 or 7 languages. He has absolute pitch and can sing at least 6 octaves with the highest note a whistle. There is no one that can sing like him. Not his mother tongue, which is Kazakh. He is singing this song in French. Dimash has sung songs in 15 languages so far. This is his calling card, a beautiful song from a French rock opera from the 70s. This was the first song I heard from him in 2017. Yes, Dimash is also a multi instrumentalist, he is also a very highly intelligent and highly musically educated musician up to his present Ph.D, which he is about to finish ❤

Dimash has paused his doctorate program, has moved to to Los Angles in Spring and he also returned the Scholarship that he had received to study at the NY school of Arts for directing because he said that it should go to someone who needs the Scholarship more than he!. He is intent on building his Connections to the Music world in the United States , improving his English and doing many projects with many other musicians and artists in the West.

SOS is the song that introduced Dimash to the world and opened many great opportunities and collaborations for him. There are quite a number of versions of Dimash singing this song, each different but all great. This particular version comes from the Dimash Digital Show put on during the pandemic after all live concerts were cancelled and he had to cut his Arnau Tour short. Dimash discovered this song when it was being sung by 23-year-old contestant, Gregory LeMarchal, on the French TV talent show "Star Academy" in 2007. Gregory won but died soon after the show from complications of cystic fibrosis while awaiting a lung transplant. So the song is close to Dimash's heart due to his appreciation and compassion for a fellow talented young vocalist, and he always sings it with deep emotions. The song SOS comes from the famous 1978 Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania', which is well known in French-speaking countries, and is a pretty difficult song to sing. In 2017 Dimash received a wild card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant ever at 22 years old and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part in this competition. Although well-known and respected in his homeland Kazakhstan, few in China knew or heard about Dimash before, but with his first song, SOS, Dimash shocked the audience and captured the hearts of over 600 million of viewers overnight, and the rest is history as the saying goes.

This a cover (but so different from the original to be almost unrecognizable) from Starmania - punk opera- released in 1978. The "hero" has just lost his lady and this song is about all the stages of loss, assessment, despair, regrets, and memories as he decides whether to live or die. In the end, he accepts; sending her soul off with "sleep child, sleep".😭🌹😭 The constant changes in his voice mimic the brain flitting all over. This song is in French but you will need to get used to Dimash switching between 15 languages. Check each video to find out what language it is in before reacting. Nobody expects you to identify 14 foreign languages. That said, maybe try a song in english.😳 Try Hello, Across Endless Dimensions, Screaming MV or 2021, or Idol Hits(all 3 very different), Fly Away, Stranger/New Wave, Golden, Be with Me MV, All by Myself/Bastau or New York, Adagio, Go Go Power Rangers, or Give me your Love. STRANGER in English.. and be dazzled again.. as all of his songs and music videos they are all different from one of the other and in several languages..DIMASH is a master of is art and craft..DIMASH is very very involved in several charitable works such as in children's hospitals and nursing home residences for the older peoples on several occasions during a big concert DIMASH donated the entire income for surgeries of hearing aids, crutches, walkers. wheelchairs. articulated limbs.. and for all kinds of medical care that people or families cannot afford.. when the covid pandemic hit the entire planet confining us all to homes DIMASH gave 25 tons of care of first necessity to his country KAZACKSTAN and only 5 tons went to his capital the rest was distributed in the rest of the country. His own country awarded DIMASH with medals and certificate the title of national treasure and ambassador of kazackstan. .and he also received honorary prizes from several other countries such as china russia turkey the arab emirates ..and even from POPE francis who offered him a medal and the title of ambassador of peace in the world in clean hand with his father by his side and with all his awards and recognitions across the globe he remains very humble and shy and very grateful to GOD his PARENTS his FANS from all over the world young and old who follow him at each of his concert..and during one of these concerts in NEW-YORK at the barclay center a security guard declared that it was the first time that he had seen so many people come from 65 countries around the world to attend a concert that he thought he was at the OLIMPIC with all his flags and banners in the stadium.. and he filled the auditoriums regardless of the number of seats and on a few occasions he installed giant screens outside so that as many people as possible could participate. ...and his concerts last around 3 hrs 3/4 to 4 hrs..non stop..and on stage DIMASH is a beast..you have to see him to believe him...I'm going to stop here because I'm writing a book there is so much to say about DIMASH in a good way...greetings from CANADA
