What do anodes do for a boat - and are yours made from the correct type of metal?

Great discussion….what about the exhaust manifold anodes? Does anyone make a magnesium anode equivalent of a Volvo Penta 21403633 Anode?

Great point on exhaust manifold anodes! Those are often overlooked. I did just do an extensive search looking for a magnesium version of 21403633, but came up empty handed. I also looked at the VP parts catalog and only see an aluminum part number for the manifold anodes. The VP parts catalog for the drive does call out 3 part numbers (Al, Mg, Zn), so not sure why just the single type for the engine?
