Hello, Cristin! You just dont know how blessed I am to have found your vlogs and youtube channel. Ive been searching for this kind of content that is focused on providing LDR support most especially with a Christian perspective. Ive watched your vlog with your Filipino boyfriend. Im also from the Philippines. This vlog of yours in particular is so helpful. Feels like you are talking to me one-on-one😁. Ive found the man whom I believe the answer to my prayers. He's Christian and 16 years older.. he's 56 and im 40. We're both believe that God brought us together. We have not seen each other in person yet because of this pandemic. I can see that he's secure and at peace with our relationship but im the one who's emotionally unstable and insecure. Im afraid he'd get fed up and just break up with me. We have marriage plans already but all of these uncertainties between us make me feel insecure and its affecting our relationship already. Please give us suggestions on how we can be more creative with the way we communicate. We do prayer time and Bible study via video call daily which was his idea.. God is our Anchor and our relationship is centered in faith.. but im still struggling😔

I pray that the Lord will show you His comfort and love amidst your anxieties and worries. By the story you have shared with me, it seems like your man is a man of God (i admire that he is leading you closer to Jesus through the bible studies that he initiated) - this is a GREEN FLAG character that we all need to check when it comes to praying for our God’s Best (or suitable spouse). If you are fully confident in your boyfriend’s walk with the Lord, then you should not be worried. A Christ-centered man is a dependable man. 😌 I always tell people that if they prayed for God’s will in their relationships and both the man and the woman get a clear confirmation from God (that they should be with each other), then there’s no need to feel insecure or anxious. If God orchestrated this relationship, and if it is His will for this relationship to lead up to marriage, then NOTHING can tear it apart. 🤍 The big question is: Do you TRUST God’s sovereignty over your relationship? Sometimes our worries are caused by our lack of trust in God’s ability and power to make something happen. Maybe due to past traumas, pains, and hurts. But, we must remember that our personal history and past can never stop God’s will. Thus, if you truly believe that this man is the one God has for you, then you should be able to REST in the Lord’s promise. Don’t let your inner hurts cloud your judgment in your current situation. Yes, there will be storms in your LDR and the relationship can also have problems, but when the relationship is centered in the Lord, you can rest in knowing that it can WITHSTAND anything. ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭ “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” As per the recommendation or suggestions on how to be more creative in communication, you two can begin by getting more acquainted with technology and apps or websites. - I have provided here in the channel different kinds of videos that help in making LDR connection more fun so feel free to watch them on your own time! You can look under “LDR Couple Tries” or “LDR Recommended” section here in the channel. Communication can be tricky if we don’t know our partner’s love language (LL). So, i suggest to learn about each other’s specific love languages (try to understand it deeper) and then come watch my playlist called: “The Virtual Love Language” (VLL) in order for you two to be able to translate the LL’s into VLL’s while you’re not physically together. Girl... You pratically described me! And that video came FOR SURE in the right moment, I need to control myself more cause I've been complaining with him a lot about he being so busy sometimes... At the same time I understand why he is busier now, my love language is quality time (his LL is acts of service) and I get sooo frustrated when he can't talk because he is hella busy, not even for a bit... it is really stressful and I recognize that sometimes we can become toxic without noticing, but I will try to work on it, control myself, do other things to keep my mind busy or whatever. Hi sis, For me, personally, it’s a red flag if the person you’re dating is hiding something important from you. Especially if that information is crucial in building a healthy & trustworthy relationship. HONESTY plays a big role in keeping LDRs strong especially when you don’t see each other very often (or at all). May i ask: When you found out the “something” - was he the one who opened up about it? Or did you find out from someone else? If you truly want to be able to have peace in your heart/mind, it’s BEST to ask him about it first before allowing yourself to overthink or to doubt your relationship. I know it’s a difficult situation to be in because you love the person, but COMMUNICATING your feelings and doubts to him will let him know how he can love you better. Hello Cristin, Could help me with the situation in my LDR, I am an American male and I am with a woman in China, we have been together around eight months, she always tels me how much she loves me, she went on vacation, it is the new year in China, she said she was going to a cousin, it started with her not saying a thing about her plans until the day before she was leaving, she did not tell me where she would be and did not share with me her plans, she had me think she would only be gone a day are two and she and I would not hear from her the first day, I did not hear from her for six days I ask why she hasen't contacked me and she said she had been to busy, and I was angree I let my emotions take me over and I told her she was being very rude with me and un carring so we had words and settled down, well she texted me and we were talking the she did not respond for about 20 minuts and when she did she said she was sorry her cousin call and she needed to go and be with her, then I did not hear from her the next day, I think I should break it off with her for how inconsidert she has been to me but she says her love for me has not changed and she still doesen't give me any attention, what are your your thoughts about this, thank for your time

Hi there! Thank you so much for taking some time to share your story and ask. I appreciate that you trust me in helping you. 1. May I ask if you’ve been able to speak via Video Call? I think there may be some things that could get lost in communication whenever it’s done through messaging/texting. Seeing your partner face-to-face in order to ask about the situation is the best option. 2. Try not to make a rash decision when you are consumed with emotion. Allow yourself some time to process what happened. And then, when you feel more calm… you can reflect and decide if breaking up is the right thing to do. 3. Is this the first time you’ve been let down by her? Or is it a series of multiple let downs (one after another)? Is it out of character for her to do what she did? Or is this her normal? 4. If she ghosts you, blocks you, avoids you, and cuts contact COMPLETELY… then, it’s safe to say that you should consider ending the relationship. Because communication is the only bridge that keeps LDRs together. Without it- there’s no relationship. But, yes. Proceed with caution.. you wouldn’t want to do step 4 if you haven’t done steps 1-3. I would personally give them AT MOST 1 week to respond. After that, I’m gone. I hope this helps!! 🤲🏻

It depends on his schedule, maybe you could ask his times at work as well. But, ideally not more than 3 days? Some couples talk once a week or more gaps in between, however it should be a mutual agreement. As long as it’s consistent and the communication is open. ☺️

Hello Christin! I watched your video by accidentally and I like it “the tips” on how to manage LDR. So far, my boyfriend is living in USA and I’m living in Asia. We are the same nationality but He’s American, so we been in LDR for 15 months and 10 days now. However recently I got upset with him about something, and I told him that I won’t disturb him anymore. In fact, it’s about 4 days already and he sent sms “I am sorry” but I didn’t reply back and wait to see whether he gives me a call or not, and he didn’t. His birthday is on 6th this month, and actually I want to surprise him with a birthday 🎂 and gift 🎁. My question to you is “ do you think I should prepare a birthday as my plan?”, “what if he doesn’t online?” I’m looking for your answers and thanks in advance 🙏

Yes Cristin I did. We discuss most everything. It solidify are relationship more. After over 2 years that is the reason I am in love with her. Have not had a physical intimacy in 11 years after an attack my 5 illegals and half my skull off for 3 months and learning to walk and speak. Very worry my lower equipment not working. She told me she will help me we will practice a lot. Another reason I love her. 11 years without intimacy because I must have been waiting on her. Thanks Cristin.

Thank you for asking this question ☺️ I think there are a few things we need to consider when dealing with this dilemma: •In the 1 year you guys have been together, has he given you any reason to doubt? •Does he only call you when it’s convenient for him? Or can you reach him at any time? •Is your communication fading as time passes by? Or still strong? •And lastly, when he said he wants to introduce you to his family in person someday, did he mention when? Or have you met the family online? What about his friends?

Just let him know that you would like to be friends with him on social media and try to speak in a calm manner as well. As per his ex being in the same or near the places he goes to.. is quite interesting.
