What do people most commonly dream about? How common are nightmares? What are different peoples dreams like? Today maybe we can get some insight into some of those questions!

My dreams always have environments with landmarks as random as the ones in Dora the Explorer. There are always random things in random places like a little blue tree or a troll bridge maybe. Usually no huge landmarks. That's the only common theme. My dreams just have random stuff everywhere.

1. I went to a summer camp but all my camp counselors were replaced with my school teachers but the camp burnt down the previous week so we help camp in an abandoned parking garage. I know. It’s really weird. 2. Probably wherever I fell asleep. I have a lot of dreams where it’s not a false awakening exactly, but the dream starts out that way 3. Idk I don’t have that many nightmares 4. 1: I had the day of school off so Me and my Dad got e bikes somehow and started doing uber eats then we went to KFC and started cleaning their windows but the kfc was in a zoo and we got tons of gifts thrown at us also before that same dream I was just playing on a e bike and fell of 2 times cause it went as fast as a car 2: usually at my school but its different like same building but theirs a food court in it or something or classes are different or I'm playing football by football I mean "soccer" 3: haven't had a nightmare since I was like 7 except for one when I was 12 Im 13 now 4: positive also when I try to do wild I cant fall asleep is there anything I can do to fix it also thanks for being such a great youtuber.

1 : I was in military complex in the woods (wich is funny because I dreamt about the EXACT same place a while ago) 2 : probably zombies because I love that genre 3 : I don't really have nightmares 4 : they're absurd but overall slightly positive

Well because you asked: 1. Running across a falling bridge with an old friend 2. Biggest reoccurring theme is definitely being with my old friends from highschool. (They’re always popping up in my dreams, even though I don’t talk to them anymore irl. I believe it’s because I abruptly moved away from them and never gave them any warning beforehand. Either way it’s weird because they’re the only group of friends I often dream about despite me having had many other friend groups throughout my life… 3. Common theme in nightmares: running from things and or trying to navigate my way through a neighbourhood to get away. 4. Probably slightly more negative, but maybe that’s just because they have more of an emotional impact.

6/5/23 Theme Park/flying dream Started off in a theme park, saw random people, then headed out of the theme park and was going to come back latter to it, was flying out of the theme park, saw random people, also saw other people that also had the flying ability, then landed in a place some land that was in the water for a wile, saw random people and a FF coworker. My main recurring dreams mostly consist of being back in school and seeing my former classmates and I graduated high school 15 years ago, also have recurring dreams of Six Flags Fright Fest seeing all my friends in them appearing most of the time, and I been working at Fright Fest since 2013, so it makes sense that I would dream about theme parks and scare acting in a haunted house attraction and seeing my FF coworkers as dream characters when I have FF dreams or theme park dreams. Nightmares I occasionally have them but most of the time there just boring dreams and positive ones this is one of my dreams from my dream book I created on my PC at top.

I always become lucid when having a nightmare. And often when I have a lucid dream a nightmare shows up. I call the figures in my nightmares creepy guys. Sometimes it's uncanny men trying to do terrible things to me, last times it was a demon toy army. I am planning to question them next time i have a lucid dream "what do you represent?" Although last time I had a horrible nightmare I got so shook that I couldn't calm down until I was awake. I met a guy in that dream that claimed to be my higher self. It was all fun and giggles until he whispered something horrible happened to me as a kid. He also started to touch me and it made me very uncomfortable. Next thing I falsely woke up with a person from childhood in my bed saying horrible things and I completely lost it. I threw it out my house in rage and tried calling my mom but ofcourse the phone was unresponsive in my dream. I then waited for myself to wake up. I still feel like this was an astral attack of some sort instead of something my brain would generate. It was the most terrible nightmare ever.

1- I dreamt that i was chosen to explore a planet for possible life, it looked like mars but the sky was a bright cyan. the planet was mostly devoid of anything but sand and dirt apart from a couple houses not far from eachother where i found something had been living there and was likely hiding from me which made me scared. these were just like normal family homes with pictures of the weird people that normally appear in my dreams. i then felt like i was being watched to i ran outside of the house i was in at the time to meet my sister, she hugged me then the dream ended. 2- i am usually outside in a public space, or eating alot. usually feeling a whole lotta nothing, but sometimes i feel really happy too 3- i have recurring dream people which are like people who are completely blackened out, or built like those art mannequin things people keep on desks. they freak me out and they make up most of other people i see in my dreams, but they are often in nightmares or more negative dreams 4- i have more dreams where i just feel neutral more than anything, very few positive ones, a couple negative ones

1 - I was in school and Chiyo from Azumanga Daioh was there. She didn't know what she was going to do after graduation and asked me for help. I don't remember what i said. 2 - school and sometimes my old house 3 - idk if i can really call this a "nightmare", but my most recurring "nightmare" is doing an exam and not knowing the awnsers. 4 - positive. Around 80% of the time i think

1. Most recent dream was me in my High school on the first day 2. Probably any of the schools ive been in throughout my life, the older the school the mor abandoned it appears 3. Honestly this may seem strange but I dont have nightmares this was true even before I learned of lucid dreaming. 4. Mostly positive dreams ^⁠_⁠^

Hi Tipharot, I had a question. So for some techniques, during the middle of the night I am trying to wake up and stay awake for like an hour. During this one hour, should I avoid 1. using digital screens and 2. showering? I have always wondered if this would somehow 'wake' me up 'too much', and would interfere with the process. Also, I just wanted to say I have enjoyed your videos always, please keep making them. I am currently working on my prospective memory, would love to see a video maybe on that topic! Thanks for the guidance :)

It's very much an individual thing. When I used to fall asleep more readily any time, I would often try to wake up my brain as much as possible and spend an hour or so awake before going to perform a technique. Now if I'm awake too long or wake myself up too much, I won't fall back asleep, so I instead only stay up for a few minutes. I don't avoid screens because that doesn't affect it for me personally but you might find it affects you - so experiment. I wouldn't however personally get up and shower during that time because then I'd definitely be way too awake to fall back asleep - but if you're the kind of person that can easily nap at any time, try it. In my experience the more awake/alert you can get yourself while still being able to fall back asleep after, the better your chances of getting lucid, so if you CAN easily fall asleep after doing all sorts of things that wake up your brain - then do those things! If you can't, then don't.

I had this dream: i dreamt that i was with my cousin, the older one aka the one that i hang the most with out of my cousins, she took me this place at my cabin, like it was down by the water and there was this path on the right, and apparently my dad didnt allow us to go there because it was dangerous or something idk but he never told us why. But my cousin seemed to know what was about to happen, so then we sorta phased through this new world or whatever it was, it was a very different place from where the cabin was, but things looked familiar, there were old houses and trees just like there is on cabin (not too much yunk or anything just old stuff) as we were walking on this trail, i was just looking around and i said to her: w-we arnt suppose to be here uknow?" I cant remember what she said but after she said what she said i said: welp fuck it ig lets just go on an adventure" so uknow i was looking around and stuff and then we got to this like steep hill, which also looked familiar, then i was like: we going up there?" She said yeah" and she went off to the snow area like- uh, ok imagine theres a broad steep hill, kinda large and then on the left side theres a trail but it was coverd in snow. So we went up that trail climbing up, as we were climbing up i noticed this HUGS foot print on the snow, like actually massive, like bigfoot size. And then i started to feel paranoid and i was thinking: was this why dad was acting weird about this!?" But so i pointed it out and she also saw it. We also noticed the foot prints seemed to continue upwards and apparently there were also foot prints like that bellow us too, but ig we didnt noticed it? Or they recently just formed… so i said: wanna go down?" She said yeah lets go" and now the whole hill and the whole like sort of area before the hill was covered with snow now. And ig i felt too nervous about the situation or i wanted to do something fun, but i belly flopped onto the snow and slid down all the way, was pretty fun but i felt this fear aswell, then when we were all down and back on the trail- OMG i forgot about something i left out, so back when we just enterd this area and i was looking around and stuff, i spotting this white house and with a sign that said: welcome something idk exactly but said welcome i think, and we had heard that this house was haunted or like not normal (no one actually told us but we got the feeling from it. So back to where i left off. So when we were back on the trail and walking back. We decided we should go and check that house out, kinda scared but mostly excited we stepped on the steps leading to the door and BAM. The scene switched into something very strange.. the room i was in were filled with this fog but it was very yellow and bright, like the sun shining in but its VERY bright and a lot of like fog… i had this super weird but almost like pressuring feeling inside me… as i looked around i noticed people, they looked like they were from the 1900’s or maybe even 1800’s… it was such a weird feeling.. and then i asked those people about the footstep on the hill, and its like they knew exactly what it was. But after some time this 1 guy who looked sorta big, he was balled i think, and he told me that he had made those foot prints recently. Now i wanna stop here and say how i felt: i felt so like weird because i realized i had time travelled a long time back. Whenever i pulled up my phone, they would question it a lot and acting very curious and everything" so what i began to realize is those footprints were actually made YEARS ago but they somehow stayed. My feelings behind this was so so weird, but then… i realized i was dreaming or that this wasnt quite right, they asked me: do you not want to leave?" I said: i-i wanna sit here for a while… experiencing this moment and feeling it" they were sorta confused by that, and asked again and i said: i wanna sit here… and experience this Would like to know what it really meant

Dreams are always interesting to me and I like to talk about them. 1.) A multiplayer horror game kinda thing. Sort of like Dead by Daylight or Friday the 13th the Game, where there were a few chasers and a bunch of survivors. I was one of the survivors. We were at a gas station at night time; it was pitch black outside and the lights of the gas station were the only source of light. There was a vendor selling firearms and ammo inside the station. I bought a pistol and ammo, with a bunch of other survivors doing the same thing. Turns out the weapons were kind of overpowered because me and all the other survivors were fighting off the killers super easily. Interestingly, one of the killers was carrying a book, which I inherently knew was their weapon somehow. When I shot the book and destroyed it, the killer got annoyed and went back into the darkness, presumably to get another book. I always wonder how in a dream we just kinda know things. Like if you are at your house in a dream, you will always know that it's your house, even if it bears no resemblance. 2.) My dreams rarely take place in a place that I know, but when they do it's my school a lot of times. Particularly my Spanish class for some reason. Even when it doesn't take place in my school, or even completely unrelated to school, my Spanish teacher likes to randomly show up for some reason. I'm not sure why, because my Spanish class/teacher isn't even very memorable or interesting. 3.) I rarely have nightmares, if you can even call the ones I experience nightmares. They aren't ever terrifying or memorable. Usually they are just a crazy amount of schoolwork, or sometimes I make a very bad mistake (like arson or robbery) and I realize that I basically just ruined my life after a little bit. Less so about life or death and more about large problems that I am unable to solve. To be more specific, one dream I had was about a theater performance and it was opening night, when suddenly I realized that I had absolutely nothing memorized. Oddly, everyone was completely calm about it and didn't really care. That's actually a common theme in these kinds of dreams. Everyone else has this "You'll be fine" attitude and I'm like "NO I WON'T." 4.) Positive. Even if the dream isn't particularly cool or happy, I usually come out of it feeling at ease and complete. Even the dream I had last night (the first response) wasn't stressful or scary for me, despite a gas station in pitch black being a pretty eerie theme. I never find my self in fear in my normal dreams, which is interesting because in my lucid dreams I do. Despite knowing that nothing can physically hurt me, It still doesn't feel that way when I'm lucid.
