What do my characters want from me & and navigating the murky middle of my novel | NaNoWriMo Vlog 3

Congrats on all of your progress with NaNo! 😊 I think the intervention scene and the character’s reaction makes sense, especially if her friends believed it would work and if the character, deep down, knew what they were saying is true but doesn’t know how to face it herself yet. I actually had one of those “shake it off” moments yesterday- I did some jumping jacks in the parking lot because I was feeling anxious and didn’t know the cause. I’m glad you felt a little better afterward, I did too! Looking forward to hearing more about your story and the process!

Thank you, Lindsay!! Yes I completely agree with you on the "deep down" part of what my character may have been thinking/feeling. And I think that she knows, underneath all the lies that she tells herself, that what her friends are telling her is true. Thank you! Jumping jacks are a good idea too! Sometimes I find they can spike my heartrate which doesn't always help haha but I think if I'm feeling the hyper type of anxiety (like I'm feeling restless) they're great! I'm glad to hear that they made you feel better 💗 One more NaNo vlog left! and I'll be sharing more as I continue to write it 😊

It's been really inspiring following you with Nano! I'm glad your anxiety left once you did the shake, I do something similar which is from my Greys Anatomy phase 😂 The characters would jump around to music to let go of stresses. Seems to work! But I hope you take care of yourself as well, Nano is no walk in the park and it's really amazing how much you've written.

your book sounds so lovely and sweet and emotional! it's so great to get to hear about it. also im in act 3 of baldur's gate too! (im a little bit emotional about possibly finishing the game soon and a little bit feel like i've completed the most important quest by killing cazador to please my love astarion and have significantly less motivation for the rest LOL) act 2 is so aesthetic and gorgeous though :D

Thank you so much!! 💗 I'm glad I get to share about it! My husband and I just finished our playthrough like two days ago and I had so MANY EMOTIONS!! I didn't want it to end too but I'm happy with how it all wrapped up and we've already started another playthrough. The Astarion quest was so good, and it was so satisfying to put an end to Cazador. I felt like how you were feeling after I did the final quest for my love Shadowheart lol. But I promise you that there are still great moments to come, and I hope the end of the game will make it all worth it for you!!! Now maybe I'll be romancing Astarion next 👀

Good job! I definitely started running out of steam by the end of the challenge, I felt like the quality at the start was ok but I'll have a lot of editing to do for the second half haha

I don't understand how you can have food to be eaten nearby and still write. Whenever I go to a café to write, I can never concentrate until all the food and drinks have been eaten and drunk haha Granted, I hand write, but even if I was typing, I don't think I could

Haha, I guess it depends on the food for me... I have a habit of multitasking while I eat (is it a skill or a bad habit? I'm not sure) but if the food is something amazing like a lovely dessert then I'll have a hard time resisting it.
