Thank you for sharing your NaNo journey so far! And thanks again for having Chan and me over, we had such a great time! 😊 I have a few of those words too that even spell check doesn’t know what word I mean, haha! One easy word that is always a struggle for me is calendar. (I get the “e” and the “a” mixed up.) I think that makes sense, that your main character has recently gone through so much, so she’s acting and reacting differently as a result. Can’t wait to see more of your writing journey! Best of luck on the last few days of NaNo! ✍️✨

Thank you so much, Lindsay!! It was so nice to have you and Chan over. "A" and "E" are easy to mix up and some words I keep mixing up "I" and "E" too.

It's awesome to follow you write your next story :0) I relate to all your struggles - my character decides to change every day. He's so different now, to how I first wrote him that it makes me laugh. I just kind of need to let the writing gremlins do their thing 😂 Good luck for the next stretch of Nano!

Thank youuu!! My character also has been changing all the time, funny how they can have minds of their own haha! I hope your character has figured himself out a bit. I like the idea of writing gremlins, yes, let them do their writing thing 🤣 Best of luck in this last week of NaNo!

i'm playing baldur's gate 3 right now too! my partner played through the whole game when it first came out and i was still finishing my phd thesis, but then our one computer that can run the game BROKE when i submitted and we only just got it fixed so i am finally able to play 2023's most ambitious dating sim lol. also the howl's edition is gorgeous! i love that movie and book so so much. your book sounds amazing and i absolutely relate to your struggles with writing around work and also with writing chronologically! i'm also writing a romance novel for nano and i keep wanting to skip ahead to the fun parts too!

Yesss I hope you have lots of fun playing the game!! I am sorry to hear about the unfortunate timing of the computer breaking though. The battles in the game have been challenging but the Shadowheart kisses are worth it 😏 I hope you find joy in all the romances in the game hehe 💗 and thank you for your kind words, writing is tough! I hope your romance novel is going well too, best of luck in this last week (!!)

The thing is, it *sounds* so easy - only 1,667 words? But I think most people are thinking of essay writing, not fiction writing where you are creating everything from your own mind. Every decision, what things look, smell, feel like, what characters say, how they feel - everything is a decision you have to make. As for editing. I'm handwriting, and while I can read my own reading, it's cursive so if I don't focus it's not that easy to read lol

I need to screenshot your comment and put it somewhere where I can see it! You've described it perfectly and it may be silly, but I've never actually considered that what you've said is what writers are doing each time we write. Thank you!! I imagine the cursive handwriting makes everything flow nicely, and is a great way to get yourself to not focus on past words as you said haha! I guess this is why some writing advice says to write with your eyes closed if you're feeling stuck. Good luck in this last week of NaNo!
