I enjoyed this video and would like to see updates! Some of our categories overlap. Weird or dark literary horror are relatively new sub-genres I've discovered that I like (loved Bunny and The Bell Chime). I'll be obvious and say that if you haven't read it yet, you should read The Exorcist for possession horror. The Case Against Satan is also interesting as a possession horror book that predates The Exorcist. Julia Armfield has become one of my new favorite authors. I'm reading Private Rites right now and loving it. Her collection Salt Slow was also excellent.
