The things they’re looking for sound pretty universal to me. They prefer a taller guy, decent build but not too big, self sufficient income earner, kind, fun, high-status. Nearly every woman in the world would say something similar. Cool, fun interviews!

@@AF-sh1qk No, these girls don't have any traits of Thai-ness left in them. In the eyes of the local guys, it sounds like they are foreigners. They don't have the sweetness of Thai-ness women. For most Thai, it's the character that make you a real Thai, not a Thai nationality. In the eye of the local guys, as these women thinking like a westerner, they will only bring headache to your marriage. They are suitable for foreigners more than the locals. As for dating, it's a matter of personal taste. They can choose what they want. You can see that there are few Thai guys married foreign women. They just avoid to bring more troubles into their life that already had it enough.

All women, in the world. want a man who is of higher value than them and can provide resources first and foremost etc. If he’s tall and handsome then that’s a bonus but comes way down the list compared to money and status.

I have an idea for you Paddy, ask Thai people about their religious practises and customs, such as; why Thai people leave red Fanta on spirit houses. I would like to see Thai people explain their strange customs in their own words instead of reading it online, I get the feeling that most Thais perform odd and antiquated practises that even they do not understand, would also be interesting to see if you can find a Thai that does not follow any religion, I have yet to find one.

Some Thais like to pray to the spirit and make wishes. When their wishes come true, they would give their offerings which they have promised while they prayed. Usually offerings are any thing (or performances) that the spirit likes. The weirdest one I have heard is running naked around the spirit house at midnight 😂.

Someone who will love them, treat them well, and not cheat on them. They will also look for someone who understands a Thai woman's obligation to support her family, especially elderly parents. Many Thai women have turned to westerners because they have had bad experiences with Thai men, who often bail on their children, cheat, gamble and expect money. Also, Thai women who have dark skin, or already have children (especially sons), are heavily discriminated against by Thai men. A western man will likely be able to date a woman who is much younger, prettier and less infected with resentments than one he could date in the west. That also explains why it is extremely hard for western women to date in Thailand. There's little demand.
