What's up, guys! May bago na naman tayong video! I created a new playlist/series in my channel called "Student Life" where I will share to you anything about my acads, degree program -- student life!
For this first video, I will be sharing to you my degree program, Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Arts.
If you are an UPCAT Qualifier and was offered BACMA in UP Mindanao, this video might help you in deciding to pursue BACMA in UPMin.
Since it is quite lengthy, I split the vlog into two. This is the first part.

still incoming shs student and im really torn between humss and stem😭 humss kasi i wanna ready myself sana since im gonna take communication butttt i heard ang cets ay mas in favor sa stem subjects sooooo😭😭

Hello, Krista! I would agree on that na STEM would really help you in taking CETs, since most of the exams involve lots of Science and Math. Pero it depends on the university rin naman hehe. Some universities consider the strand sa pagscreen ng future students nila. If you're going to take a Humanities and Social Sciences-related degree program in college, it would be better siguro if you take HUMSS in SHS. Besides, yung Math and Science na lalabas sa mga CETs are tackled on Earth Science, Physical Science, General Math, and Statistics which are general subjects taken by all students regardless of the strands. In my case, I was a GAS student back then but I specialized Biology and Creative Writing. Parang naging STEM-HUMSS combination sya hehehe. I hope this helps 😁

Hello! For me, wala namang mas mahirap or mas madali. Both of the programs have their own characteristics naman. Mass comm is more focused on broadcasting and “mass” media, while communication and media arts is a more broad yet creative program, we touch on marketing comm, crisis comm, cultural comm, development comm, and even mass comm. And also production courses like radio, tv, cinema, and multimedia. Mass comm and communication and media arts are both communication program, they just differ on their focus. Thanks!
