Hi, John Carlo! Thanks for asking. I always wanted to become a doctor back when I was in high school, hence my dream courses were pre-med programs like BS Biology and B Medical Laboratory Science. However, I couldn't wave UP's offer so I took it instead. :) I am happy with my decision naman. I actually had a realization when I entered BACMA, that my interest and training back in high school were inclined to what we do now in the program. 😄 I think this is where I'm destined HAHAHA

I watched the whole thing. Very informative po. May I ask if this course (BACMA) is very close to or if not the same as BA communication and media studies? (and Mass communication as well?) I'm just not sure if the names makes a big difference among the courses itself. Thank you po 😄

Hello! I've heard of BA Communication and Media Studies in UP Visayas but I do not really know how it differs from our BA Communication and Media Arts program in UP Mindanao. I am not familiar with their curriculum as well, but both programs explore Communication and Media. With your question about Mass Communication, I think it is under our program, we'll be touching MassComm and other means of communication too. Thanks! 😄

Hello! Thanks for asking. Di ako sure if mag-explore ang program namin ng animation. The media arts aspect of our program I think is more on designing and producing media materials and contents than animating. But if you are interested in animation, try to explore and read more about Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing since that program has Animation and Game Development Majors. And since that program deals with more arts, I think it would be better if you take Arts and Design Track if it's available in your school. I hope this helps! 😁

@@edmargwen5913 hindi po ba yan degree? Can I work in a broad area of Bachelor in Arts Communication in Media Arts? I mean, mamimili pa ba ng degree sa mass communication, or pangkalahatan na po yung all about media and entertainment or theatrical or even music or others which also involves BACMA core? I'm currently enrolled in BS Architecture kasi because I like reconstructing many infrastructural intitution and arts for free-spaces........but I'm planning to change my major to BACMA just because I thought it was fun and as a former HUMSS student who really likes to LEARN about writing an article, to improve my linguistics and literary social skills plus I find and kind of interested in Music since when I was young I like to compose a music and create voice tone to match my HILIG in music,........kaya mainly yung tanong ko na maeexperience ko ba lahat ng yan if ever lang na mag-swap ako...or mamimili pa ako ng degree?🤷

@@edmargwen5913 Sa University of Mindanao rin po ako, pero kahit Architecture ang pinili ko naguguluhan parin ako kasi alam ko na starting from now wala ng tulugan kasi 2 hours na akong matutulog 😭huhu, maswerte nalang daw if makatulog kami ng at least 7 hours a day, kaya I reconsider exploring to other genre in arts which is BACMA para di na ako manginig sa takot kasi first day pa lang nakapowerpoint na ako sa Architecture 😭

What do you mean po? Hehe in entering the program wala namang parang audition or talent test. When it comes to film, meron pong major subject sa third year about Cinema where we learn cinema theories, practices, and get to produce one po. 😀

Hello! Not necessarily naman na you have to be used to communicating very well. But it would be an advantage for you if sanay ka makipag communicate. After all, marami naman forms of communication aside from the verbal one. You can express whatever you want through visual, music, and others forms. We will learn all of them in the program. 😄
