Totally relate to you on the, 'would rather not have highs if I could have no lows'. Keep doing your best, we're cheering for you!

hi lauraa3282, i think people are encouraged to chase happiness, even though its not sustainable. like physically impossible because your brain will get used to the elevated level of chemicals and need more stimulation. i think just being at a flat line is okay for me xD LOL

life can sometimes be too much and game development can be very tedious, especially when you have an almost finished project that you want to desperately finish, then you tend to push yourself too far.. sometimes it works to overwhelm yourself with work, but many times it can lead to even worse situations where you simply say enough is enough and give up on everything.. the golden middle path could be that you do everything that needs to be done in your life, then allow yourself time for fun and only then you spend some time developing the game and don't rush anything.. the problem is that you don't always have time or circumstances allow you to tick all the checkboxes, but at least for me, this works best.. if I lack one of these things, I just procrastinate and feel very tired all day long.. developers need to take care of their state of mind first and then they can work, because this job/hobby requires a lot of energy and brain power.. just don't be too hard on yourself and don't rush the end, try to enjoy the process : )

Appreciate your videos a lot. I'm in the same decade of life, doing similar creative work while working a full-time job. Relate a lot to your problems and your solutions. Just wanted to hop on to comment--I'm guessing you're familiar with the book Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi? His thesis is--humans are not happiest from getting what they want. Rather, they are happiest from entering a state of concentration or 'flow' whilst working on something interesting. I don't know the details--haven't finished the book yet. :P

Ah, Im actually not familiar with that book, but it wouldn't surprise me if somone else (or many others) come to the same conclusion. I think many of us wear outselves out on these highs and lows (at least I wore myself out) and the economic system benefits from us enduring miserable times in hopes of a reward. I think of how hostile to the conditions of life the natural world is and i get that hardships are inevtiable. but if i have a choice between suffering+reward or just skip and keep going with whats working all right, i'm going to skip now.

Hellooo! Thanks for the video! Eve looks really gorgeous!! ı really loved her voice too ı think ıt suits perfectly :3 ı guess the yellow parts of her body are her are feathers or scales? which reminded me one specific talk ı made with normal air priest XD ıf ım not so wrong they explained their dream as seeing one dragon with gold horns falling from sky and somehow disappears once ıt reaches the ground. at my first play ı didnt understand it much but after learning about eve and then re playing ı noticed this detail ^^ ı guessed that both her and Jonas are originally dragons but seems like they have human forms with some small parts of their original look. Im still not sure what to think about their their both friendly yet ominous acts though ^^; well ı guess this is the difference between normal humans and immortal strong beings. wow so many arts and words actually! since the game got separated into 2 routes maybe having more time for each update could be better ? I hope you are not pushing yourself too much ;-; monthly updates might be good goal for main story with no routes but now... game seems like ıt will have 2 main stories and great things take time :3 multiple endings are also a lot time and effort consumers too. so ı hope things will go well. hopefully this game will have glorious story with amazing endings ^^ Im also excited for other projects too! To be honest ı am amazed by how much work you do and how hard you go for each of them. So it is understandable ıf you wanted to relax for a while but no matter how big your workload looks or how sometimes life just get in the way ıts admirable that you chose to continue on working and get closer to your goals. It is also true that buying something or surfing on the internet can gives not so long solutions because in the end we just return back to reality. ı guess trying for the best is better than simply trying to escape... hopefully ı will manage to do this too! :3 I really hope life will get easier for you and also... please always prioritize yourself because you are more important ^^

Hi gokcetunc1476, I'm glad you like Eve! and yes the yellow parts are like feather/scale. I think of dinosaurs. it's interesting that you bring up the air priest convo because when i first wrote that, I didn't have the branch for the Old Ones fleshed out. I guess he really is a prophet! When I finally get into a good head space and am fully emersed in writing, I write without much hesitation, like I'm just going with the flow. I think I'm fortunate that my intuition is usually enough to carry me and things generally work out to form a cohesive story in the end. It's weird to say that I trust my characters (even though they are created in my head) that if I just follow their lead and stay true to their constructs, it will be okay. This mission content is probably going to be around 50k words so I don't really have time for second guessing. It's a project I ultimately write for my own self indulgence so I also wouldn't be able to do it like this if I was trying to make money and had to worry about an audience. I'm feeling more energetic and confident today so I think it's very doable to finish by the end of this month, but next month may be a 6 week schedule. Thank you for thinking of my health! I'm sure not to push myself too hard. Given my past as a comic artist, this schedule is actually not that strenous, comic art work load/industry is honestly unreal and imo very exploitative. its sad that not that long ago some artist died really young and still no one really talks critically about how unhealthy the lifestyle is.

Also...sorry if this is asked a lot...what program is that you're using? I know you normally use Ren'Py--is this Ren'Py too to create the animations?

Hi there! In this video I am using a free vector animation program called Anime Effects animeeffectsdevs.github.io/ I also use Procreate for frame by frame animation like the skill Triggers. Let me know if you have any other questions!
