A Hindu temple (mandir) is a warm, welcoming place for all. But going into a mandir can be intimidating, especially if you haven't been to one in a long time (or ever). It doesn't have to be, nor should it be.
In this video, Sheetal Shah, Hindu American Foundation's Managing Director, tours the Broome Street Ganesh Temple in New York City (yes, NYC!) with Eddie Stern, the temple's director, and shows you the various steps one should take when entering a mandir.
As you'll see it's not complicated, nor is it scary. In the end, the message is the same: may all the world be happy.
