It's a vicious cycle. Businesses want experience on the job but how does someone get experience if no one will hire them so they can get it. They also want a college degree (For a position that doesn't require one like a cashier at Jollibee), if they spend time getting the degree they're not spending time working to get experience. Then they don't pay someone with a college degree a higher salary. "What do you hate about the Philippines?" "The people." "What do you love the most about the Philippines?" "The people." 🤔 Thank you Lorie and ladies for the interviews, I hope you all have a wonderful day.

It's sad that the people can't get the changes that they want within the government. As for the family members that say bad things to the younger ones and make them second guess there abilities they should be ashamed of themselves. Those young girls can achieve anything they want to. Take care out there.

The Fuentes Family Your content is excellent Lori You are doing a great job with your interviews. You are doing an outstanding job. You do great and I've used with it. Whenever you're ready to do and may trust you. They love you. That's what it's all about. You know, life is about trusting people knowing that they get your best interest at heart. If somebody's really your friend, they're not gonna ask for anything from you. They're gonna check on you because they're just concerned about you. They just wanna come over because they want to just talk to you. I don't like gossip. I don't like winning that stuff and that's everywhere in the world. I don't want to around me. I don't want people around me doing it. I'm not with it. Everybody has to run their own race and stay out of each other's business. It's about building up people, not tearing them down. Building them up. Thank you for all you do in the world. Thank you for all the things that we don't see. I know you've got a good heart. And you're a good woman and you're a good you're your family, everybody. You're started by say hello, and I hope that you have a great day and I'll see you on the next video. Bye. Almost everything I have seen of the Philippine's looks perfect. From mountain trails to the beaches and everything in between looks natural and serene. Where I am in the US, we do not see so many large gatherings of people enjoying being outdoors so much. We are all enclosed in our homes that are sealed away from the Big Blue Room.

Them thinking you have to accept their culture, but they won’t accept yours. There has to be compromise on both ends. I’m not interested in taking care of her whole family when they can go out and get a job. I even hear of cousins asking for money and expecting to get it just because you’re a foreigner. Under age kids is different, her immediate family a.k.a. siblings may need some clothes for school and food to get by, I understand that. But when she has siblings that are grown and married, and you’re supposed to give them money. Well that I have a problem with. This is the major red flag and why I might not consider marrying a Filipina. if I could find one that doesn’t have any family and kids. I would rather deal with that vs a bunch of lazy mooching relatives. I work very hard for everything that I got, and just because I’m talking to a female doesn’t mean I’m subject to share my retirement with.

Yes, by ALL means try to find someone single and with few relatives, but that can be hard. An orphan would be idea! lol. But it's true, when a "foreigner" (like I have done, so speaking from experience) enters the picture, you will be treated as if you are nothing but an ATM. And when the ATM is empty, they dump you in a NY minute.

I do not agree with you. I met my wife sixteen years ago and live in a compound made up of her family and her cousins. They have never asked me for money because they work and earn their own money. It's about meeting the right woman. If you come here as a pensioner and are looking for a young woman, the risk is greater that you will become a walking ATM or that you will be scammed. A tip, find out the family's financial status before getting involved with a young woman, especially in areas where many foreigners live.

Part of being a man is a being a confident leader who's willing to set boundaries and expectations in advance and then hold them. That's why i'd be fine saying at the start of the relationship that i'm willing to give $100 to her parents and put another $50 a month towards expenses for other family memebers and if that 50 doesn't get used some months it'll be saved in kind of like a family help fund, and then just tell her that's what i'm willing to do, so you can agree or find someone else, but you can't nag me and surprise me because that's not acceptable. A lot of women will appreciate and respect you more if you set your standards in advance and they know exactly what to expect.

What I hate about the Philippines is the slowness of many businesses, the sheer bureaucracy and I don't know how to explain it better. For example, a Filipina friend had an ATM eat her bank card. When she went to the bank they told her it would be 20 to 45 days before she can get it back. When asked why so long she was told it needed to be investigated? For an ATM eating her card??? It is like they just don't care, and will take their time regardless of how it is affecting there customers.

This video is a little deeper than your usual videos. One of the difficult problems for a small developing country is injecting money into the economy. I can understand Bem's frustrations, however, finding ways to stimulate the economy of a whole country... especially one that is broken up into so many islands, provinces, dialects etc... well you have to have something to offer to attract that money. When the people are poor and the economy is weak sadly the employer has a ton of power, they can require more and pay less because the competition for work is high. There is a difficult balance of raising wages and fighting rising costs. When productivity > demand then prices can fall. That also means multiple infrastructures have to be built to transport the increase in products, transport requires fuel... technology requires electricity, which requires a stable electric grid... these infrastructures are not understood by most people. They see poverty around them, corruption and waste by the government, who else can they blame? Since you do talk to a lot of young people, what are their opinions on what is needed in the changing world for themselves and the country as a whole? More opportunities, better wages, access to ? Which areas of Php is doing the best, what are they doing that works well and what is not good about those changes? What direction should the country take? I appreciate you giving the opinions and voices of the people a platform to be expressed.

Forget the 'economic' lessons. One has to understand that 90+% of the P.I. is STILL ruled and OWNED by the SAME corrupt families that are mostly still descendants of the Spanish colonizers. These entrenched, wealthy families spent many decades making the P.I. their personal fiefdoms and DO NOT want it disturbed. Ask ANY business person that's ever tried to set up shop there!

Beh means they’re younger than me, just like when they call me "ate" which means older sister. That’s the opposite. But some people, especially couples, use it as an endearment, beh short for baby. Also, I usually call someone "ma’am" if they’re teachers or someone I am just used to call "ma’am". And sorry to confused you if I pronounce it wrong but what I meant was ma’am.
