There are very few absolutes. Some marry purely for the money. Some marry purely for love. Most are probably somewhere in between. We all have certain things that are a must have in a partner. There is nothing wrong with someone having financial security on that list.

Another good video. I think in some cases, the younger Filipina woman marries/or lives with an older man for security and love develops later (Hopefully). But if the two people are happy with the arrangement, then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. For those that take offense to seeing a much older man with a young Filipina: "Just because you are offended doesn't mean you're right".🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Both people are in a relationship to be of a benefit to each other, otherwise why be in a relationship if it does not offer you anything? How you measure those benefits is up to the couple. As a foreigner do I bring better financial security to my Filipina partner? Yes of course, but most traditional women enter a relationship where they expect their husband to be able to care for themselves and their children regardless of age or nationality. We go to school, study, work, etc. for a better future financial security, but when it comes to relationships, we question it.....this is because of a bias you already have.

I think it is difficult to find a simple answer to this question, as the word love can mean som many different things. You can love your wife but also your mother, child or even a friend. Just like in the times with arranged marriages where the couple hardly knew each other before they got married, love can develop over time if they treat each other with respect and build trust. Security and respect can be "fertile soil" for love to grow. Maybe it is a better starting point than physical attraction. If looks is the important thing you might be disappointed after some time as most of us change, rarely into someone more attractive 👴 I also think that many older men (and also women) from the west have more in common with younger people in the Philiphines. This because the society in the Philippines was very different say 50 years ago when I was young. Maybe more outside the big cities than in the provinces, but also in the cities. Being over 60 I still grew up with videogames and computers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think many my age grew up with this in the Philippines. I also saw one who asked why young filipinas not marry older men from their own country. I have a feeling the answer is that most of the men who can provide the security the women want is already married. In the west being good looking, young and popular is what many young women look for. In the Philippines I think you can change that to being able to provide security and being respectful.

"Age doesn't matter." I wonder if I will ever be able to believe that. As wonderful as many pinay's are I can't believe they would not be happier with men closer to their ages. I guess I will have to find out for myself.

That is one thing that I worry about. I’m retired and on a fixed income but more than enough for two but not much more than that if we are frugal we would have plenty of money to live comfortably

If their intention is truly to date older individuals, then why do they exclusively seek foreign partners?
