What do YOU want? (without external voices)

This episode really shows one of the biggest downsides of social media: WAY too many voices trying to tell us stuff. I am 100% that even though people pleasing has always been an issue because we're human, I believe social media has enflamed it so doggone much! Our need to please is so high because we want that "like" and that "comment" that "affirms" whatever we're doing. Like you said, we gotta live our lives and not live based on the expectations and voices of others. Everybody got an opinion on our lives, but they are looking at it through their own experiences. Too many of us want everyone's commentary on our lives, but everyones commentary ain't valuable. Heck, most commentary online from people ain't valuable for us. Thank you so much for this reminder!

At 35, I'm finally asking myself this question in what I want and not what I think society, family, or friends want me to be. I spent a majority of my life being a people pleaser and a helper even to my own detriment. When I realized that I was giving too much of my energy away for really nothing in return, I started giving pissed and kind of cold towards everyone. I am at a point of really trying to get to know myself and what I want out of life. I lived trying to serve others for so long I didn't even get a chance to even get to know who I was or even take care of myself. I was also afraid of being alone by myself but life kept pushing me in the direction of being alone and truthfully ever since ive embraced it ive been feeling a sense of happiness that feels peaceful and not wild. I have to correct this mistake I made.

Can I ask do you have any social media at all except for KZbin?

I have pinterest and thats it!(which i don't really consider social media) Mostly used to find recipes to make for dinners throughout the week. So aside from KZbin and Pinterest i don't have anything else.
