Don, I’m glad you pointed out this is an older ship of Regent’s-the Voyager launched in 2001. Also to note that you are in their most entry level room. Fast forward to the Explorer, Splendor, Grandeur all launched much more recently-which some I have cruised on. They are much more updated in decor, yet still on the elegant side. The showers are larger. All the rooms I have cruised in, have two bathroom sinks, butler service (Penthouse or higher) and some had powder rooms. There are USB ports by both sides of the bed. Also note that your fridge is restocked daily with your choice of beverages including wine/beer. Each room is given a choice of two bottles of liquor also included along with the champagne. In Santorini under the hot sun, Regent was the only cruise ship there with a large sun umbrella and chairs while waiting for our tender, which was much faster than other lines. There is rarely any real line for anything on the ship. They often remember my name, and their service is always exceptional. On the newer ships, I never have had an issue getting a deck chair (they are very comfortable) or a larger round lounger any time of the day. No aqua shows and the like so you may be disappointed in that regard. Not an issue for me. You will also find more selection in dining on the newer ships. I would say it is hard to review Regent without being on one their newer ships.

I have sailed Voyager three times from her maiden season which was actually 2003 - not 2001 - to this year. She is a beautiful, classic ship still to this day. Some of us enjoy the understated elegance. Ouch, the pain of not having a USB port by the bed. Or not having two sinks. My goodness. As far as the fridge, liquor, champagne, staff remembering your name, no lines, etc Voyager and Mariner possess those same luxuries, and for less - which you failed to mention. She is getting hauled into dry dock next year for a makeover and that actually makes me sad. I see nothing wrong with "grandma's mirror" over the sofa and if that makes me a grandma so be it. If I have to get out of bed to retrieve my charging phone, oh dear. How WILL I survive...

Don Have just completed our 5th Regent cruise on their smallest vessel. Same cabin. Your cabin is a standard balcony and size wise many sq. Ft. Larger than those cruise lines you always travel on. Points of note : Bathroom : used towels replaced twice a day Toiletries replaced as used I am quite large and can turn around in the shower Walk in robe Safe takes regular laptops, iPads, camera, documents etc. Laundry bags are there so you can have daily laundry free Umbrellas for your use Storage drawers for clothes Twice a day cleaning of bathroom Bedroom Lots of storage Nighttime downturn service You can see tv easily from bed Living room Can be separated by drawing curtains so you can sit there and open balcony curtains so bedroom is still dark in morning etc. Fridge is replenished daily with your choice foc Yes table is great for room service Fresh fruit provided daily Water is replenished daily foc Balcony Furniture is not to large for balcony A slight adjustment of position and both of us sat there with drinks and nuts(delivered by room service foc) Your video did not represent the cabin correctly. In fact it seemed to be a little overwhelmed by it as not the flashy big boats you are used to reviewing. Enjoy the rest of Regent boat but suspect you will be bored as no big shows etc. as it is a true cruising vessel.

i love Regent Seven Seas. I cruise solo and they take very good care of solo travelers. I'm willing to pay the higher price because it's worth it, but I only go on the cruises with zero percent single supplement.

We only cruise regents - this is the lowest level cabin (which we always book). The fridge is re-stocked as you want and all alcohol is delivered to your cabin as it is included. Oh yes, no tips and excursions included.

It is wonderful...parents of a friend of mine took a long part of world cruise on Regent and could have been this ship because it was probably 15 years ago and they reported from a cabin of this type as I recall, however it seemed to have less on walls..in fact they had some of pictures I remember taken out and had a fun deal set up with a nice looking trip tracker and pictues from each port and handy no damage hooks and sticky tac things for them put around for their truly sweet reports back home. Regent also is just on more exotic around the world cruises so it would not have to have been a world cruise at the time, but it was a long big one. I can tell they really update fabrics and all even if traditional....I love the blend of traditional and modern...I love it all however, the true key is ships and hotels and vacations do cater to different folks at different times in their lives and to me our age is the best part and time in being able to try all and enjoy like you like to do...before we are perhaps more set. They have such huge tv's now in new ships and the division of access from a bed makes me chuckle...I am still on an old 20 inch but it helps saving the pennies and it was my grandmothers and with computer in other room ..stopped the tv in bedroom. I can see as we move through generations...2 tv's may be a requirement in all larger cabins...I love your room. I love that you are doing this. Thank you. It is going to be wonderful to read reports here of those who know these lines as well.

I love that cabin!! We had the privilege of cruising on Azamara journey to the Mediterranean in 2009. It was the best cruising experience I've ever had. Unfortunately, it was a once in a lifetime cruise. That being said, I love premium cruise lines, such as Celebrity and Princess.❤

Don’t forget, you are in the smallest cabin on the ship. Also has the shallowest balcony. You didn’t mention the orchids. You didn’t mention the TWO room dividing curtains. Those plus the balcony curtains will get you complete darkness.

We sailed Voyager last fall. It’s very clean and well maintained though it’s beginning to need updating. The newer ships have dual sinks. We sailed Grandeur in February. Quite a difference in terms of decor and layout.

We've cruised on Norwegian, Princess, and Celebrity. Then we discovered Silversea.... 6 cruises on them. Would never go back. Don't enjoy cruising with a 'city' of people. Like to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet... the wonderful food... the interesting people... the great excursions (all included)... the no paying of gratuities (unless you'd like.... also included)... no nickel and dime upselling for every little thing. Heaven.

We took a Celebrity cruise for our Honeymoon and vowed to never cruise again. Several years later we decided to take a one more chance and chose Silver Sea and have been loyal since - we have also done Seabourn and really enjoy them as well. I have a feeling that ultra luxury is not going to be to Don’s taste as there are no big shows and limited restaurant choices.

One comment, the TV pulls away from the wall so it can be tilted toward the bed. It’s a beautiful room. It is the same type as Holland America’s Signature Suite. They also come with cushions for the balcony chairs + much larger.

I liked the balcony furniture from looks, but can't tell if it is too big for space without being there. TV is fine, don't watch the TV, get out of cabin. Have fun.

Not for me. I take baths only - no showers. It is not just for cleaning the tub. It's for washing hair! I appreciate that Regent actually includes a separate tub - so rare these days. Don't assume everyone takes showers.

I hear the really expensive cabin on Icon is sold out for the year. It’s unreal to me that people spend that much money. If I had unlimited funds I would be cruising all the time. So sorry your cruise was ruined by your getting sick. I got the flu on a cruise. Luckily it was a long cruise so I still enjoyed it.

For its age this ships cabin is looking wonderful. The bathroom is great - well, I personally don't need a bathtub. I also do not miss those USB ports - remember the age of the ship, no need to complain! Yes, those chairs on the balcony look a little bit oversized, but as long as they are comfy 🤷 And the complaint about the "small TV" and the mirror? - come on Don....

I personally do use a bathtub so it is much appreciated on my part. I would rather have a bathtub than a second sink since my husband and I rarely brush our teeth at the same time and I use the vanity to do hair and makeup. He can have the sink for shaving. Agree with everything else! The USB port is an easy remedy as Amazon sells those chargers that include extra outlets, USB-A and USB-c ports.They are not surge protectors so they are cruise line approved.
