It is difficult to know nowadays what a person should eat. I remember when I grew up we were poor and we cooked with lard and olio margarine. Cook the eggs on lower heat for longer, browning (burning) them for that long denatures the proteins so they're not edible/useful by the body. She invited me in to join her and the children from breakfast. If I can vividly remembered, she made pancakes, eggs and had a box orange juice plus they were fruits. I told her I had breakfast already but I will have a cup of coffee, black no sugar, she were shocked and amazed at the same time about my coffee which I am about to drink. She said she drink coffee with lots of cream and 4 sugars. We are talking about a 12oz glass of coffee. Anyways she served the kids pancakes with OMG lots of syrup. I mean the pancakes were drowning in syrup. She said the kids will not eat it if it is not sweet enough. (She forgot the pancake mix have enough sugar already) then an 8oz glass of Orange juice which have approx. 18g of sugar, fruits... more sugar. She had some eggs on whole grain bread. Whole grain bread convert to sugar once digested plus the sweetened light coffee.

Use butter, ghee, lard for cooking and frying. Seed oils like canola, safflower or any of these seed oils are heavily processed and treated with chemicals to keep them stable. I suspect they lower HDL cholesterol because when I switched my HDL doubled. Also cutting down my bread, pasta, rice consumption might have lowered my triglycerides from over 200 to 89. HDL 60 Triglycerides 89. I did what is known as a keto reset for about three weeks. My craving for snacks or candy went away. Since the reset I have never felt better and my energy is constant without any ups or downs in blood sugar despite being hungry. I could be hungry but still happy and not panicked. Buy the eggs you can afford. By the broccoli you can afford because it's better than the alternative of frozen waffles or corn flakes. Insulin does not care if the food is organic or not. The pancreas has a job to do and doesn't discriminate. Glucagon or Insulin? The fuel decides what the pancreas secretes. Research Insulin resistance and you will learn more. It's not difficult to feed your body properly. Just rewire the brain washing from big agriculture, big pharmaceutical, big medical. Educate yourself on salt is important, fat is important and protein is important. High Carb diets are responsible for raising blood sugar, Glucose, insulin levels and if you continue you will get sick.

I was born a preemie. 24 weeker, weighing a mere 1 pound 2 oz at birth & fight through some conditions (vision conditions.) life long eye complications. However, now as an adult, I suffer odd things. Joint pain. Fatigue. Swelling of my jaw. (diagnosed by a Rheumatologist with Degenerative Arthritis via CT scan of the TMJ Joint) I have diffuse body pains. Eye pains. Neuropathy. I've had blood tests to check for everything from B-12 to Iron, to proteins from the heart (I also have high blood pressure which is also odd.....), electrolytes (sodium was a tad bit lower than it should have been but not significantly low.) to every other blood test. All normal. Upon a brief neuro exam, my primary doctor noted that most of my exam was normal reflexes. No signs of weakness. Left arm and right leg reflexes were brisk. I set to see a neurologist in January. Never met him. So not sure what he'll do for me or what he will say. Hoping for good out come.

Dr. Perlmutter is the real thing; a great physician. Breakfast should go the way carbs are going: away! Two meals a day following intermittent fasting is the healthy way to live, with 10-15% of good carbs (vegetables), 20-25% of good proteins (organic from both plant and animal sources), and 60-70% of good fats (plant- and animal-based). I'm skeptical that those who're time-starved or not a "morning person" would ditch quick and mindless carbs (e.g. toast, cereal, biscuits, muffins) to prepare and cook a meal for breakfast. Cleaning a fry pan is also more of a chore than putting a breadplate or bowl in the dishwasher. Ps the local s had this unusual body odour , guess what is smelled like .? ☺️
@tallcedars23102 жыл бұрын
@@Spartan21blue Thank you for your story, makes me wonder if cold pressed is alie also? Maybe not for the elite few, but for the masses I can see they would lie, ahh, marketing... It's sad how they feed the masses literal poison, non nutritious foods that harm us. So it's up to us to learn about what keeps us healthy. By the thumbs up on my comment, at least 3 of us understand about oils and how detrimental they are to the body. Oh i can believe the locals odor, I know someone who eats peanut butter every day and smells like the oil they replace the peanut oil with....🥴

@@tallcedars2310 yes cold pressed is fine Buy from producers that grow the olive in your own country and not imported.etc when you have some time look up herbs plus beads works videos on u tube . I have used several of Tony’s formulas, and in particular the Grapefruit , ginger and onion concoction For me it did exactly what he said would happen He was and still is way ahead of his time. Best of health to you Tail ☺️

@@Spartan21blue Well, I have to thank you for showing Tonys channel. He is wild and crazy mad scientist that I can understand since he talks in normal language. The little high school science I have as well as some collected along the way, matches what Tony is referring to. In fact, I already do his oil separation with my coffee creamer. As it cools the fake creamer settles to the top and I pour the nano particle oil off before drinking, just feels right since it's not normal for cream to have such weird looking oil. We live in CAnada so no olive trees, but that's ok, I use animal fats instead. They have kept us going for millions of years, and tried and true is what I will run with before trusting science today. Tony's grapefruit concoction sounds interesting and will give it a go, can't hurt and if you have had noticeable results, it's well worth a try, again thank you and peace to you and family.

Good On you, and Ideally Youll want to avoid “packer olive oils,” who saturate the marketplace, instead you'll want to look for a family~estate who actually owns and tends to the orchard that way you know you are getting a PROPERLY produced product. An all around chef favorite is Bariani Olive Oil, although you might’ve already known:)

This is like asking an IT technician what wheels they use for their car. His anecdote about carbs isn't clear enough - the problem is processed, quick carbs in the absence of healthy fat, fiber, protein. Nothing wrong with oatmeal, it will keep you steady until lunch.
@judylloyd79012 жыл бұрын
Carbohydrates cause an insulin response. It doesn't matter the source of the carbs. Protein with fat, eg. eggs, will fuel the body for longer, and won't spike insulin. Fat with carbs is probably the worst combination you could eat.
@Kubaaano2 жыл бұрын

Max, Dr. Perlmutter alluded to intermittent fasting. I've read a lot of good things about it, but find it difficult because I workout at 5 in the morning. I can't wait til noon or even 10am to eat because I'm starving @ that point. Any suggestions on how to implement this for early risers?
@lucasbritoarruda9 жыл бұрын
+Bruce Wayne maybe you should read his book and/or Good Calories, Bad Calories. Basically you can eat normally during the week (more fats than carbs) and good carbs before exercising (if you need). Leave the fasting for weekends, but only some of them (mostly for losing weight, but also for lowering glycemic index),
@serbeef79749 жыл бұрын
I intermittent fast, the great thing about it is how flexible it can be. It's basically making a window of time to consume all your calories. The window can be anytime. You could make yours from 7am-3pm to eat. So it'll be a 16 hour fast and 8 hours eating.
@endzone269 жыл бұрын
Thanks for all of the feedback. I completely understand how intermittent fasting works. I was simply looking for feedback to aid those like me or workout in the morning. Maybe coffee, certain supplements, a specific order for eating the lightest/heaviest meals, etc. If you train in the morning and consistently partake in intermittent fasting, or have spoken to a health professional about doing that, please offer up advice.

+Bruce Wayne Hey Bruce, one resource that combines intermittent fasting with bodybuilding is the website leangains.com - I've found it to be a good source of info on fasting from the perspective of fitness goals. It doesn't seem to be updated much but there is a decent amount of info on there. If I recall, his protocol involves taking BCAA's in the AM before and after exercise which have negligible caloric value but prevent muscle protein breakdown and keeps synthesis stimulated. Maybe that will keep your hunger in check. I haven't done a huge amount of vetting personally but check it out and see what you think. Here's a link: www.leangains.com/2010/05/early-morning-fasted-training.html

My fnal thought before i chose was when i saw high fat doctors saying are ancestors ate high fat and i see them writing books promoting mass consumption of eggs and oils... Are we supposed to be that stupid to believe are ancestors had pet chickens following us everywhere... High carb shit comes from the ground... Dont go do 80/10/10 shit or anything i eat 60/20/20 with healthy fats and carbs and my horomones/sex drive and alertness has never been better.
