I weigh 240 pounds and am 6' tall. I got my busa in 2002 and have had it for 20 years and I still rarely give it full throttle. Yeah, I don't need to turbo it. I can't imagine being like you guys -- 150 pounds with twice the power. I'd be scared the rear tire would slip and I'd end up a squid if I hit the throttle too hard. Also, once I hit around 165m/h on the freeway I start getting very nervous that a car will pop out or an animal will jump in front of me. It's very cool - but no thanks! I don't even want the supercharger ... just an old NA for an old man like me, thank you

i didn't get my first sportbike until i was 40 and even then, it's a '92 Kawi ZX11. that said, if i had one when i was a kid, with my driving record, things would have ended horribly. a 30yo sport-touring literbike (it's 1052cc... may as well be a literbike) with 150hp is enough to catch me off guard. i would love to ride a beast like this, but i don't need to own it. the Hayabusa effect is real, and i don't need to get used to riding something that unhinged.

I'd say spot on. I actually did 2 of those things with little time in between. Was a day on the way home from work and the highway was clear. Took my 750 to redline in 6th. Damn that was fun. If I remember right it was just over 170 before I let off. Then in 2 days went skydiving on the weekend. The initial fall was awesome and the terminal speed fun too. But the bike felt like so much more of a rush and acceleration. Still an awesome experience though and want to do it again. Cannot imagine what a turbo busa would feel like. The dual sport will be much more forgiving for rookie drops and British wet weather beating up the plastic, chrome, and metal. I'm on 4th bike and 30 years of riding and dropped my bike twice already since July-once riding in the grass with a kid who had cancer and his first bike last fall and once a few weeks ago because I made it UP the icy driveway, but was too confident to walk it back down to the road, you will drop it. They even have different grades of bike covers like tents, i.e. very sturdy waterproof 4 season, 3 season, half covers, light dust covers for bike in garage, etc etc. You English blokes really love bike culture and I respect the dedication to riding in all weather.
