Am I so glad to see you there! I am 66 and have been sued and the sever said I did not have to go to court just call the firm. I figured if I did call that would hurt me. This was when I went to the hospital back in 11/23/2016. I never got a bill but I got a summons. I ask when the court day was and the server told me I don't have to go to court. I thought that was strange. He served last Monday and it had an old date on it, so I don't know what they were trying to pull. I guess I will see. Are you all still in business? I am from Oklahoma. I just watched your video about being sued. I was served by a private process server to appear in court as I am being sued by a debt collector. This debt collector bought my credit card debt from a department store, I could no longer make the monthly credit card payments. If I don't appear a judgement will be taken against me. I don't work as I am on SSI . So you say SSI won't being taken out from the bank for garnishment. So I don't need to worry about my SSI won't be taken from my bank.

Hi Shari, you're correct! Your SSI income is protected from garnishment as long as it stays in the bank account into which it is direct deposited. Take a look at some of our other videos, look at our website, and give us a call if you have any questions.

What about interest on the lien on your home just accumulating? I was advised today to sign an agreement to stop the lawsuit that would be some kind of loan because my home equity is more than the debt.
