What does cancer look like? Find out how different cancer cells appear with this video from Cancer Research UK.
The video is a montage of images taken by the Cancer Research UK Electron Microscopy Unit. In it we show what different cancer cells look like, including lung, prostate, pancreatic and skin cancer cells.
Under a microscope, normal cells and cancer cells may look quite different. In contrast to normal cells, cancer cells often exhibit much more variability in cell size-some are larger than normal and some are smaller than normal.
