All the tech and workforce would be Chinese, Machines would be Chinese and Return on Investment would be solely for China. Moreover Interest on the loan or line used to be secret ...so in one line China invest money as a loan , gets principal and interest on it and all those money inflow back to China and small fraction of it would go to elit class of country money was invested. Same is being done by US when they approve defence deal or donation. They approve money for Israel and Ukraine and money goes to US defence industries so they just sell on the name of help 😅

China has vaulted to the top bilateral lender for many African nations like Ethiopia in recent years. It has lent the continent a total of $182.28 billion between 2000-2023, the Boston University study found, with the bulk of the finances going to Africa's energy, transport and ICT sectors.29 Aug 2024 Since 2000 China has only lend 170 billions dollars 💵 to Africa countries. 1.152 trillions (1,152,000,000,000 dollars) compared to China total loan to Africa countries since year 2000 which is only (180,000,000,000 dollars). Who built all the original infrastructure in Africa? Who created those countries in the first place? China's aid / loans account for just 12% of total FDI so it's not as if they're doing this alone. A quick look at the UK aid budget reveals the following: Chinese aid to Africa of £38 bn over three years equates to a spend of £9 per head of population in China vs Britain, for example, whose spending of £1.2 bn per annum equates to £17 per head of population in Britain And that's before we discuss all the charitable efforts by ordinary Western people But again, do continue with the extremely simplistic version of events

Last I've heard China total export this year is still increasing, despite US trade war. And the export to global south has exceeded export to western countries for the first time this year. China's strategy to enrich the Africa countries over the past decades with infrastructure investments, so that those countries can now have the capabilities to do more trade with China is obviously a winning strategy, and for China to double down on this investment is win-win.

Africa nations should be talking about their debt in private. It is very insulting to come to China and say they China should do something about the loans African nations couldn't pay back on the world stage. It is just mind-boggling. How are they going to bring that up on camera instead of talking it about privately which they could not pay back? The irresponsibility is just unbelievable. African nations approach China for these loans not the other way around. And Africa should be lucky there is another lender besides the West. And China gave loans 2-3x lower in interest. Very very fair and I would say taking care of Africans like they were their own people. What imbalance is African nations complaining about? Do you want China to build the manufacturing for them too? Why don't they do it on their own? Does African nations even know how much road and rail China has built for that continent? If you total up the distance it's about the bottom tip of the African continent all the way to the top. That's how much road and rail China has built for African nations in this short span of time. And this is just road and rail alone not to mention the ports the logistics electricity grid and so much more. Why are these African nations complaining? What imbalance? It's as if these African leaders want their country to be the same level or equal to as China. Why don't these African leaders take charge of the money China is lending them and do it. Quit expecting China to do everything for you. What does she mean that Africa in Chinese to configure their relationship? Why don't African nations know their place right now. They don't have a country like China. They are not developed like China. They can't even pay back their loans. Don't they realize they are getting so much more than anyone on Earth? What more do they want? They can't even see all the things they are getting and Beyond. They think they are somewhat equal to China when they can't even pay back their loans. It's unbelievable.

If you are worried about the debt trap LOOK AT THE DATA. China hasn't created enough debt towords African countries to start that mechanism. People from the west are completely baffled at the idea of having mutually interested cooperation without one superpower trying to predatorily take advantage of other countries. This is basically an idea that the US and European superpowers put in the mind of everybody because that's what they've been doing for centuries. Now someone has a new model and the West don't seem to grasp how could that work. What China is trying to do is a bigger than ever seen version of the Marshall plan. They're not going in Africa to take resources and leave. They are building markets, allies and geopolitical ties that will last decades. They are creating future consumers

Its a 50 billion debt trap. Here are two examples: Pakistan: Under BRI (belt road initiative), China gave loan and built roads & port at Gwadar to transport Chinese goods. Gwadar port was expected to be export hub. China now belts (whips) Pakistan with loan belt. BRI is a non starter, why would china transport its goods via Pakistan by road which is way more expensive than shipping from china directly. China benefitted by employing Chinese workers to complete this project. All Pakistan is left with is a big loan. 2. Srilanka port: China promised a modern transhipment Port and gave loan, used Chinese workers & material to build it. Shipments never came & Srilanka's has Chinese loan to repay. & EUREKA, China got the Srilanka's port as Chinese military base on a 99 year lease. All Srilanka got is a loan. Srilanka's the then President Rajapaksa ran away with his family and friends over corruption charges & revolt. Africa, $50 billion debt trap coming for you.
