I’ve been invited to my first cocktail party .. last minute .. i have no dresses so I asked my mom.. lol so I’ve got to go with black short flowy arms or teal knee length with a split and half shoulder kinda bunch ly on the stomach area lol .. thank you for this information❤ I feel alot more confident about attending this event! 🎉🎉🎉

Thank you so much for the great comment and thank you so much for taking time to watch! Business cocktail, yes, that can be a bit of a sticky wicket. Sometimes you can just add a little something or take away and make your business outfit a little more cocktail dress like. For example, take a sparkly top to wear under your jacket. Conversely, you can takeoff your jacket and have something a little dressier underneath that was just fine for work with the jacket over it. Another suggestion might be wear the same outfit that you wore to work, but bring fancy shoes to change into something may be a little sparkly. That can jazz up your whole outfit, add some sparkly earrings or jewelry and you’re all set. Hope this helps a bit, love it if you would kindly subscribe and let me know your thoughts. Hello! Thanks a million for watching and asking this great question! I’ve been thinking a lot about this, and I think that the girls should wear what they consider to be something dressy- pants, skirt, it does not have to be a dress. I’m sure you’ve explained that cocktail attire is somewhat dressy, it’s that in between attire; not work clothes, and not super formal clothes -it’s in between. So, for young teens, anything considered dressy, would be appropriate. If they understand the level of dressiness, or formality, you will, then it might help them decide what you think is appropriate. Maybe you could have a little fun with it and have a fashion night -you and the girls try on several different outfits that you think might might work for the wedding-on the level of cocktail attire-and all decide together what to wear. Make it a group effort, take some pictures, have some fun food, and make deciding on outfits special. Im sure you will all come up with absolutely the most perfect outfits to wear, and show your individual styles. Please keep in touch and let me know what you all decided to wear! You can get away with a lot these days, depending on the venue, but if you are going for true cocktail attire, it's a suit. Sport coat or blazer and slacks, even with a tie, is already "getting away with" something.
