I did this. The tooth turned black within days. It may seem like you will never keep cola in your mouth for days but lets say u had a cola 330ml every day for 30yrs. Every day the teeth would come into contact with the cola for maybe 20 seconds minimum probably more but ill give the benefit of the doubt. 20 times 365 is 7300 seconds if my math is right. That is 2 hours. And thats only a year. Times by 10 is 20 hours. And thats only 10 yearsHaving a cola or 2 a day would destroy your teeth

Most Coca Cola variants (including Coke Zero and probably Diet Coke) have both phosphoric acid and citric acid added. All of these acids are relatively weak but given enough time they will dissolve things. The sugar that is added to regular coke is bad for you as you get a massive sugar hit from the drink (can cause diabetes over time and weight gain), some of which remains in your mouth and feeds bacteria that make acids that will dissolve the enamel of your teeth. That said, artificial sugar substitutes are not exactly great for you either, research has shown that aspartame consumption may cause you to gain weight (apparently it makes you hungrier so you consume more food).

just take care of your teeth lol rinse your mouth with water or mouthwash if youre that worried. if you brush twice a day (and floss) you probably have nothing to worry about. (but still see a dentist biyearly at least)
