I am a heterosexual female and practicing Catholic. Due to my faith I practice chastity (I don’t have sex outside of marriage), but I am in my 40’s single, wanting to be married, but it has not happened, so, I live without sex until I marry, if ever. I relate to Beckett because I love Jesus, I feel fulfilled and happy. I find men attractive and have crushes but since I want to live for God. Even though I struggle at times it is so worth it to have a relationship with God!!

Hello! I am exactly what you describe! I am an evangelical Christian. Yes, it is difficult at times to be single and wait for God’s time for a union with a godly man. But one thing Becket Cook and others taught me is unfulfilled sexual desires and longings is a cross I pick up and bear, so that I am obedient to God who saved me. Life with God in obedience is so worthy of any sacrifice I can make. I forget that sometimes.

They are his proxy. We confess to Jesus but the priest was given this authority by Jesus.

I keep finding Beckett’s testimony on line. It’s about the fourth time I’ve heard his story and I will hear it again. God is so loving and awesome. This time he described the person who prayed with him at church. I learned again how God’s love for sinners can be transmitted through me and I want to do that more! Beckett’s life is such a miracle out there in LA!

Praise GOD! Becket's story and testimony is so powerful. I am hearing him tell my story back at me. I am going thru the transformation from sin of over 30yrs in the "lifestyle" (last 10yrs not active in the lifestyle) to being saved over the last 4yrs. Tho my church "found out" my past and I felt shuned and.seperated from them, I have since known that I was in sin and I had to know Jesus is the way, THE ONLY WAY to Eternal life. Be coming across this video has been another blessing in my walk with God. Thank you to all who pray for Us that we understand, that "lifestyle" is a sin and is an emptiness in your heart as Becket spoke of and I felt the same. Glory to my Savior Jesus Christ. God Bless You All.

I’m currently struggling with same sex attraction…it’s a force more powerful than I can handle…I ruined a good friendship with a straight friend, who most likely will never trust me ever again, and never feel comfortable around me, due to my sin of homosexuality, and telling her I had feelings for her. I need Jesus!

Keep up the great work. Your awareness is great. In addition to Becket Cook, I highly recommend checking out the teachings of Derek Prince, Voddie Baucham, Spencer Smith, Mark Driscoll, and/or John Ramirez. On a related note, often, there are malevolent spirits who create same sex attraction in individuals. Often...freeing oneself of these spirits...frees oneself from these desires. And of course...Jesus is the light and the way.

I love the fact that he gave his life to Christ. It is wonderful that he had a sister-in-law that prayed fir him regularly and that her prayer was answered. My only question is, how many LGBTQ individuals are not responding to the call of the Holy Spirit? How many individuals might even consider themselves Christians while justifying their LGBTQ lifestyle? Meanwhile, so many churches are avoiding the subject or literally teaching against scripture. Secular society is normalizing sinful behavior more and more, and it is being conducted in a vacuum because so many churches will not teach ALL OF SCRIPTURE, only messages filled with God's grace and blessing. His closing was accurate, why would you sacrifice eternity with your Creator for a lifestyle that would push you away from your Creator. We all have our struggles and the Devil's greatest desire is to distract us from what is important until it is too late to do anything about it.

Here’s the issue: your sexuality - no matter what it is - is not WHO you are. That thinking is part of the deception that Becket fell into. We all have things we feel that we can either accept as our identity or we can accept the identity of being a child of God and be someone who is not a slave to what we feel. What WE feel (whether ‘good’ or ‘bad’) LIMITS us to our own expectations and ideas of what is possible for us. God wants to break us free from that.

The Day He speaks of in St Mark 2 verses 27+28 is STILL the day He asks us to keep for Him. He is still the Lord of the true Sabbath. (the 7th day). I wrestle with Becket saying he was same sex attracted from young age- where did that come from if not "born that way"? I am a firm believer in the biblical view of homosexuality being a sin but have so many friends who challenge that based on what converted same sex people say about their childhood attractions.
@sunnydayzie1202
@sunnydayzie1202 2 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's the attraction that's the sin. It's the act. We all struggle with many sin temptation even from childhood, whether it's anger or lying or worrying. The enemy knows our weaknesses even as children. Many times for children it can be exposure to pornography at an early age, fear of a father or mother, sexual abuse etc. He doesn't say it here but in other interviews he shared he was molested at nine by a friend's father. That's an entry point unfortunately for many kids

In some of his videos he mentioned that when he was a little boy, he went to a friend’s house and that friend’s dad molested him. He doesn’t say specifically that he thinks that’s the reason he had those feelings, but he does say he thinks it probably contributed to it. Even if he was born that way, that doesn’t mean it’s not a sin. Some people are born with addictive personalities, but that doesn’t mean that drunkenness isn’t wrong.

Fyi... stealing, addiction, adultery, lying and pornography (among others) are all sins equal to homosexuality! We are all sinners in our own way. We have to ask God's forgiveness and for his help in "taking up our crosses", and then do our best to live righteously, while seeking a daily and constant relationship with Jesus!!... Its easy for many straight Christians to act like homosexuals are the biggest sinners. We all need to look at the plank in our own eye before pointing out the speck in our neighbor's!

Your comment is helpful to those who are struggling how ? You should look in the mirror carol. Your sins are no different than the sin of homosexuality! Your sins are just as perverse, gross, disgusting etc.

I think the reason Jesus didn't condemn gays is the same reason you gather lots of fish before you sort them. He knows of their struggle and gives them free will to repent. The ones that do make it into heaven the ones don't he burns them for eternity.

SSA means either we really admire someone enough that we want to be like them, or there's been significant neglect or mistreatment by our same sex parent or by both parents, or molestation/grooming by someone of the same sex or bullying/violence by the opposite sex. By no means do people have to follow through physically with any temptation of any kind. Curiosity does not mean we HAVE to try something, and not everyone has to live a life that includes sex. Plenty of people can be extremely happy with no romance/sex their whole life. God calls them eunuchs. Even science shows that either celibacy or lifelong husband/wife marriage produce the best health & happiness & (marriage:) parenting & economic results possible on average.

You mentioned four drastically different theories that are all so wildly far apart from each other that there is no reasonable way they could all conveniently produce the exact same end result of homosexuality. You’re just making stuff up.

can you identify with the celibate male (priest or brother) or consecrated woman (nun or sister)? human sexuality (i.e. sexual intercourse between one man and one woman within committed marriage) is a sign which points to Heaven. once we are in Heaven, we no longer need the sign
