Thanks for reacting to Gary Moore again. Gary was simply the best guitarist. Their are many brilliant guitarists, but Gary just had that something very special that put him above all of the rest! I had to look this one up to figure it out! I love the Irish ballad sound of it. "The song is about a man wrongfully accused of armed robbery, but won't tell who his alibi is as it is the wife of his best friend, with whom he was sleeping. So, he gets sent to prison "over the hills and far away, for ten long years". During prison he receives love letters from the woman and "he swears he will return one day", so "back in his arms is where she'll be".

The drumming that you mentioned was acually a drum machine story goes Gary wanted the Big Country drummer mark brzezicki to play on the wild frontier album but he wanted to much money pity cause he would have been great dont matter wild frontier was a great album and Gary Moore the greatest guitarist ever .

But here is the reality , there are many master guitar players of that Era and earlier : Robert Fripp , Steve Hackett , Alan Holdsworth , Al Di Meola , John McGlaughlin , Paco de Lucia , Mohammad Suicmez , and Christian Muenzer . Take down those names . Because you GenZers and Millenials have nothing to compare . I served you notice .
