Exactly! Lack of faith is why God was mad at David for taking the census. David tried to measure the power of Israel when he should have trusted on the Lord’s strength to protect them. I am guilty of the same at times. People call it “easy believism” but it is a lot harder to trust in Christ alone without trying to add our self righteousness. God bless you all and may the lord Jesus Christ strengthen you all. “With God nothing is impossible”!

Another great video! My Standing on salvation based on Gods Word. I emphasize the exclusive sufficiency of Christ's work for salvation, grounding it in various passages of the New Testament, such as Ephesians 2:8-9, which states, "For by grace I have been saved through faith. And this is not my own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that I may not boast." However, it's essential for me to recognize that while salvation is a free gift received by faith, my Christian life involves ongoing growth, sanctification, and obedience to God. Repentance, asking for forgiveness, and seeking to live in accordance with God's will are all integral aspects of my journey. Yet, I understand them not as prerequisites for salvation but as responses to the grace and love of God poured out through Jesus Christ. So while I emphasize the sufficiency of Christ's work for salvation, I also recognize the importance of living a life of faith, repentance, and obedience empowered by the Holy Spirit. This balance acknowledges both the free gift of salvation and the call to respond in gratitude and obedience to God's grace. Repent does not mean asking for forgiveness. Repent means to turn away or changer your mind not to be forgiven. To be saved you need to Believe in and on the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the trust and commit. *אֱמוּנָה בַּאלֹהִים: * "Faith in God" *חיים באמונה: * "Living with faith" "believe" involves not just mental assent but also a deeper level of commitment and trust. It's more than just saying "I believe" and closer to saying "I trust and commit myself to it. I want to make this clear "Repent does not mean asking for forgiveness. Repent means to turn away or changer your mind. Not asking to be forgiven." God Bless you all!!!

Brother Onoroto is always showing and explaining this Grace Gospel so well. The way I analogize this is when I mean I put full faith/trust in Christ for my Salvation is this . Many of us know the game poker, and when players move of going "ALL IN" with the chips. I put all my chips in as to say, in What Christ Did for my salvation. There is no chips I'm either setting aside or adding for my guarantee of Salvation. I put full faith in what HE has accomplished and that his blood atonement was more than enough to cover all of my sins past,present, and future.

If one is trusting in Christ and also repenting of their sins to be saved they are not trusting in Christ 100%, therefore unsaved per scripture. Repenting of sins is a work and eternal salvation is not of works (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 4:5, Titus 3:5). In scripture repentance related to eternal salvation is a change of mind only, not a turning from sin. One changing their mind from trusting in something else to trusting in Christ alone. Trust in Christ alone for salvation today.

1 John 5:13 "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life." The other important word other than know, is believe (Greek word pisteuo) and many do not know the true Biblical meaning of believe which has three layers 1) Believe with the mind (this is also what the demons do in James chapter 2) 2) Trust with your heart (this the demons do not do) 3) Commit with your life (this they also have not done) In the last 3 verses on John chapter 2 it says many believed in Jesus but that Jesus did not commit himself to them because he knew what was in man. Both the words believe and commit in these verses are the same Greek word pisteuo. So the belief that brings salvation is not just an intellectual one as the demons, it's a heart change which changes the direction of your life to be a committed follower of Christ. It's not a work, or the thief on the cross would not be where he is today. He had a change of head and of heart.
@amandaharris968 ай бұрын
Belief is intellectual. The belief in Jesus is believing a particular FACT- that He has already 100% satisfied the Father for us by his cross-work. We don’t have to have any kind of “feelings” to know we believe that fact. We SEE that good news is true. We receive that good news for ourselves and it relieves us of guilt. We understand this fact: since Jesus died for all my sins as my substitute, I have no sins to pay for, ever! And since Jesus lived a perfect life for me as my substitute, He is my righteousness! We see that we were not righteous, but God provided a righteousness FOR us just by believing that particular good news. Peter said in acts 15:7 and 11 that the way all people are saved is by hearing this gospel and then believing it to be true. 1 Cor 1 18-25 repeats that. We don’t have to worry about believe vs trust or heart faith vs head faith. 💛💛
@warrenheinrichs42078 ай бұрын
@@amandaharris96 I did not say it was not intellectual faith, but that it is not intellectual faith alone. The demons have intellectual faith alone and we don't expect to see any of them in heaven. Eph: 2:8 and 9 say that salvation is a gift. In order to make any gift your own one must accept it. Receive it like John 1:12 says. If someone says they have a gift for you, you wouldn't say that's nice and ignore them. You would graciously accept and receive it. In the last 3 verses of John 2, what do you do with those verses, just ignore the fact that both the words commit and believe are the same word in Greek? One should go where the word of God takes us, shouldn't we?
@mr._.unknown_5 ай бұрын
Bro you didn't understand this video, your actions don't determine your salvation, you cannot fulfill all the bible commandments, even James said if you broke one law you are guilty of breaking it all. Trust in him alone for salvation. You cannot earn salvation by your works. It's a gift given to those who believe. If you believe now, you won't be confused about your salvation even if you sin. You will also receive punishment for your sins, so we better keep his commandments.

We are saved by (God's) grace through (our) faith. An example of this is throughout Jesus' ministry when Jesus healed someone and he explained to them... go your way in peace and sin no more your faith has made you whole. If I believed Jesus in that scenario would it be said that I'm believing in myself or Jesus? There is a failure in understanding what faith is. Faith is a condition of the mind. It is a readiness to obey the truth. If the truth were something to simply believe then the successful conditions of faith are completed by belief. But if the truth were something to obey (also)... then belief only would not be sufficient. You must know all the successful conditions of faith to complete those conditions. It is the same spirit which says believe on the Lord and you will be saved that also says he that believes and is baptized shall be saved. Arguing against what the spirit says is in opposition to a readiness of mind to obey by faith.

I don’t know if you still feel this way, but if so, check out this free online book. It seems to me you are looking at yourself for assurance you are saved. There is nothing you could ever do to satisfy the Father to have eternal life. But the good news is that’s what Jesus already did FOR you! He came as your SUBSTITUTE to live a perfect life FOR you since you could never do 1 perfect thing in ur life. Then, he took all of your sins on himself as if he had committed them and suffered and died for them. God is already satisfied with Jesus’s offering and now your peace with God has been made forever! That is the good news! Anyone who sees that, God saves immediately. After we are saved, we can follow God’s Spirit or we can follow the flesh. He gives us a choice. The way we follow the spirit is by keeping our mind on things of the Spirit, and that way, God does the good works through us. We worship God by just keeping our mind on Him. We will fall short every day bc we still have this flesh nature. But we will grow slowly into Jesus’s likeness as we continue to keep our mind on Him. God sees us as perfectly righteous as Jesus! But he will discipline us out of love to help us get back on the right track when we need it. We will never face eternal condemnation once we are born again: img1.wsimg.com/blobby/go/12e5f729-b8f1-40eb-9ff3-c3183ceb9bcd/downloads/25%20-%20From%20Fear%20to%20Certainty.pdf?ver=1685912733970

There is an argument that says, “I am not trusting in what I do but in what Jesus did in me that keeps me from sinning through His Grace.” So it’s not a “work” they say because God is the one doing it in them. They take no credit for it, except that they had to surrender themselves over to God and to what only God could do in them that they couldn’t do themselves. The same people would say that to truly “believe” in Jesus means to not only trust in what He did but to also obey what He said or to follow Him. Any truth in that?

I can say I believe and trust in Jesus loud and clear but if there is no evidence to my claim, am I really saved? Does believing and trusting in Jesus as Lord and Savior brings upon a fruitful spirit? Meaning do we turn away from sin, stay with sin, or increase our sin? Do we intentionally put a fight against the flesh or do we continue the sin of the flesh and do nothing about it.

Salvation is only believing the good news that Jesus totally satisfied the Father for us by his cross-work since we could never satisfy God. Once someone believes this he is saved and will be given the Holy Spirit. But he will still also have the flesh. The believer has the free will to quench the Spirit and to therefore live in the flesh. The flesh of a believer or an unbeliever can do the same things! God will attempt to bring the believer in line. But it’s up to the believer to learn from the correction or not. A believer can enjoy sin and live in it. James 5 says a believer can turn from the truth, into multitude of sin, and even die that way. That’s why we all need to encourage one another and to hold fast to our faith. The Spirit in us can over-power the flesh nature. We have those weapons of spiritual warfare from God. And as we sit at the feet of Jesus every day, and as we walk with the Spirit, we become stronger and stronger. But when we think we are good and don’t need to sit at the feet of Jesus every day… when we don’t think we need to hold fast to our faith and when we decide to not use the weapons and armor God gives us, we may fall! We may go backwards and be blinded again. We will never lose salvation- just fellowship and rewards

To believe in Jesus unto salvation is to SEE this truth: Jesus has satisfied the Father FOR you by his death on the cross. God placed on Jesus ALL the sins you would ever commit. Jesus bore them in his own body and took our full punishment as if he had committed them. God is fully satisfied with this payment. Jesus has taken away the sins of the world and therefore has made peace with God for every person. So, believing on Jesus means a person understands that Jesus has already satisfied God for them. They inderstand there is nothing left for them to do since his sacrifice is eternally perfect. A person doesn’t decide to believe the gospel. But they can decide to investigate it. And when they SEE the gospel is true, and they want that eternal right standing with God, THEY ARE SAVED🎉🎉🎉. They understand that they were not righteous, but God has provided a righteousness for them in Jesus. So our job is just trying to persuade to them that the gospel is true.

Because you're trusting in yourself to earn heaven and never in the history of mankind will that ever save anyone to enter the kingdom of God, Onorato already explained in this video when he mentioned if he turned from his sins which means exactly the same as repenting of your sins.

@BelieveTheGospelToBeSaved Жыл бұрын
@@NOWABOmusic No! I'm implying that repenting of sins is not the way of salvation, salvation doesn't come from mankind, it only comes from the power of God through Jesus Christ's shed blood alone because Jesus is God, salvation is instantaneous and not a process hence "Once Saved, Always Saved". Of course we should repent of our sins and serve him, it's just not how salvation works, we're not sinners because we sin, we sin because we are sinners, it's biology that we can't change, what do you think Jesus was doing here on earth after leaving the Godhead? To save sinners, meaning all of humanity. The good news is Jesus died for all of our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead. Salvation is a gift of God, stop trusting in yourself and start trusting Jesus Christ alone for your salvation. He's the savior!

@@NOWABOmusic If you believed that Jesus died for all your sins, was buried, and was risen from the dead, you're saved! As a result you're already forgiven of all your sins past, present, and future (God's grace covers all future sins you'll ever commit in this lifetime). You become spiritually born into the family of God in the body of Christ along with every other believer. God is holy, righteous, and just but he loves you unconditionally hence John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever shall believeth in him should not perish but hath (present tense) everlasting life".That's what we call grace!

I was just thinking "he probably thinks that it is the salvation is from hell", and then you said the exact same thing at the end of the video. God does not save sinners from hell, that would be unrighteous! God saves sinners from their sins, and makes them righteous. Do you really want to be saved, liberated from your sins? Or do you want to avoid the righteous vengeance for your sins? Which side you fall to, will determine whether Christ is the saviour for you.

But surely God's will is comprised of more than just a single imperative. He wills many things. That fact makes interpreting this verse fraught, insofar as it becomes extremely easy to "read into" the verse and project our preexisting persuasions onto the passage. Seems to me that correctly interpreting Ephesians 2:9 is largely reliant on a correct definition of that word "works". With that in mind, it should be noted that there is more than one definition of works used by different people of different persuasions. For instance, some would argue that you cannot enter the kingdom based on GOOD works, but that turning from bad works (what they call repenting from sin) is still required. Others adopt the new perspective on Paul which holds that works refer to obedience to Jewish ritual law. So many definitions to sort out, ugh! I'm not saying I have the answer, only that I certainly have plenty of questions. In some respects I begin to feel that the capacity to ask deep questions becomes a kind of curse, whereas others seem to believe so simply without even considering such questions. That's a fine thing unless you're wrong. One question I long for God to answer is why he gave us a Bible that can be interpreted (and misinterpreted) in so many disparate ways. I tend to believe it was to keep us reliant on the AUTHOR of the words instead of on the words themselves, such that we would have a relationship with a book but not the SOURCE of that book (as too many scholars do). Sure does leave me with some heavy unanswered questions though.

That is why you just read what the words say and mean and don't add to it or take any away. Otherwise, throw away your bible, your saying it can't be trusted so why read it? Lost souls have been reading it and being converted before it became a book, called the bible. One that believes God created all good things should come to realize that what he wants to do he never worries that people want be able to understand it.

Let me ask you? What do you believe to be saved? I want a simple answer please
@amandaharris968 ай бұрын
Belief in Jesus means this: to comprehend that I have no righteousness of my own. I have no way to commend myself to God since my only identity before God is one with a sin nature. And anyone with only a flesh nature can not submit to God nor please Him in order to be savedaccd to Rom 8:7-8 and Rom 3. It is also to understand that since I have no righteousness of my own, that Jesus offers his own righteousness FOR me as a free gift. Here’s how he did it: Jesus lived a perfect life for me as my substitute bc I could not. And then all my sins were placed on Jesus as if he were guilty of the em. He suffered and died and therefore paid the full penalty of every sin. God is already satisfied with that payment. Jesus has already made peace with God FOR me. That’s the good news for every person. So, no one’s sins keeps them from salvation. Only unbelief in what Jesus has done for them. For someone to have belief in that, they must hear and understand the full value of what Christ did for them. Which I attempted to explain. Here’s a little book that goes into it wi the much more detail of what it means to believe in Jesus img1.wsimg.com/blobby/go/12e5f729-b8f1-40eb-9ff3-c3183ceb9bcd/downloads/25%20-%20From%20Fear%20to%20Certainty.pdf?ver=1685912733970

You say the Bible says this about salvation but it is not the Bible that is saying that... it is St Paul. St Paul never met Jesus & died in 63 CE before the Gospels were even written ! You should look at what Jesus said about Salvation rather than St Paul. Read Matthew chapter 25 v 31-46 & you will see that salvation is open anyone not just to an elite few Christians with the right set of doctrines & dogmas.
