What does it take to make Zag Sword work? | Hades

Definitely did well considering the circumstances (Lambent Plume preventing getting specific gods, no Cursed Slash, no percentage damage to take advantage of the Chaos attack boon, losing 5 DDs). And on EM4, no less; I sorely dislike the EM Theseus fight, and Hades isn't that much better... You mentioned Vampire Survivor, and there's this one fangame I've been playing that, while it is based on VS, is MUCH superior IMHO - better maps, better music, better characters, better weapons and items. Still in-development, technically, but very much worth checking out: "HoloCure: Save The Fans"

Nice upload! I do wish the run wasn't edited personally! I want to see ALL of the action! Of course, I may be in the minority, so I understand giving the people what they want. 🙂 I hope Hades 2 will learn from Hades' few but noticable flaws. One would be that the Sword doesn't have a single A tier aspect (let alone S tier), and another problem is how many spells and interactions are bugged to where they are either OP or UP because they don't work quite properly. It's still my favorite roguelite that I've found so far (although I only discovered my love for the genre about a year ago), although Rogue Legacy 2 is currently taking up more of my time. Have you played that one, and if so, thoughts?

Yes! I love Rogue legacy 2. Yeah, it's split for people. Some really enjoy the full unedited runs, but the analytics shows that the average watch time is around 8 minutes. Not that changing the length of the video will improve watch time, but I just want to keep the videos at around 30 minutes or under if I can. If you want to see ALL the action, you can watch the stream as well. It is unlisted, but you can find it by looking at the stream playlist on the channel. Some other roguelikes you might want to try are Dead Cells, Ravenswatch, Brotato. If you like 3rd person shooters Risk of Rain 2 is a phenomenal roguelike. Those are the big standouts that I've played along with Hades. Cheers!

Yeah! I think slapping artemis on sword is typically a good bet. I was trying to use the regular attack a bit more to take advantage of the attack speed. Zeus just kind of "showed up" and ended up being pretty ok! I think the big issue with using the attack is the delay before you can dash away from attacks. It's kind of punishing, but I suppose if you get used to it...
