Dr. Damina's revelation and understanding is at another level! Now the scripture, "our God is a consuming fire" makes sense to me. God responded with fire, consuming the sacrifice because it was meant to show Israel who indeed was GOD! So to confirm his divinity, sovereignty and glory, the Lord God answered by fire! But the fire called down by Elijah to consume the fifty soldiers was meant to prove and showcase a mere man, Elijah as a "man of God", therefore, it didn't come from God. When God alone is to be showcased and glorified, the Lord God manifests himself. But when man showcases and glorifies himself, Satan responds because he (satan) savors not the things of God but the things of men (Matt. 16:23)

This further explains why the fire in Elijahs story is and isn't from God. Mount Camels' consuming the sacrifice fire was from God. The other consuming people wasn't. Furthermore the fire was to turn the hearts of Israel back to God! Wow, this makes it clearer. Thank you Sir!

Another thing study JESUS' response to his disciples about Elijahs action and note his phrase '..manner of spirit' if God is the manner of spirit to kill men and then Jesus says the devil has been the murderer from the beginning yet you argue, no one can help you then. You know the scriptures? Luke9.51-56, John8.44
