@1:05 good ….the product they send ..can possibly be made much better than what is actually sold… it’s probably better if you ask them to credit you back and pick the product yourself (in person if possible) so it’s not so tainted… and skeptical review 👍 Great video as always.

I think France should make some legislation to give meaning to things like "Paris" in a brand name. Why? Because I know for me, if I see "Paris" in a brand name, I assume it was something made on contract by a company that isn't even located in France sold at a high mark up. I do buy products that are made in France, and not one of them has the name of a French city in the name.

Yeah, They import leather products and textiles from ASEAN region. A 1500$ bag, at EU costs seems to be around 400$. But, if we analyse with costs of developing countries, it is not more than 150$. They buy products wholesale from them and sell individual items with a hiked price under Paris/ Milan tag

in Paris I suggest you the brand Maison Le Pourchet , they have beautiful bags for affordable prices, considering the house was founded in 1903 by Auguste Pourchet. ( there are 2 stores in Paris ) The bags are made in France and have very good quality in my opinion.

For some reason when i search for small leather artisan houses their designs are mostly “flat.” It almost seems like you have to sacrifice aesthetics for quality. Most have a bohemian look, i guess this could be why people go for the main stream brands even when they know it’s a rip off, they just know what the consumers want. I’m hoping and praying your handbag collection marries the two.

Thanks for another great review! I'm not sure if this is an option.... maybe the brands can offer a reimbursement system. Meaning you get to be a surprise buyer where they won't know what/ where/ when you'll buy their items. Then they'll reimburse you for the item purchase after they get a receipt. Obviously, they'll have to let you give an unbiased review.

Tanner, I know it's expensive, but would you be able to do a review on the Celine Triomphe? Celine used to be an amazing brand, but I ended up going through 7 different Triomphe bags to get one that wasn't flawed. The clasps were off centre slightly, construction different, the leather different on each to the point that some were thick and grainy and some super soft and buttery, some had wonky stitching. This is a £2895 price bag. I'm thinking Celine have gone cheap on us now and don't really care about the quality I used to feel like they had. I'd be super intrigued about the Triomphe and what you thought of it. Even if you don't want to cut one up, order one and check it out and show us what you think of the construction and bag overall, then return it? Thank you so much for maybe considering this request :)

I liked the display one and after 3 days, decided to buy one. Then I got given a brand new piece from the stock room which I didn’t expect a huge amount. Just looked at it. Then when I got home, I noticed the flaws. And there’s no refund policy, only exchange! How awful is that? So I exchanged in store, but I still had one with thick and grainy leather that I didn’t like. So I ordered the rest online and after 7 bags, found one that was ok. It’s totally unacceptable for that price!

Fun fact :- Just like the same few dollars street food can cost aboce 100$ in luxury hotel, in the same way most of these "Paris" labelled products are imported from cheap labour and material countries like Vietnam. - Just the final labelling and print to claim the Country of Origin tag for EU regulations, taxes & customer ownership satisfaction- it is labelled Paris/ Milan/ Spain. 1500$ bag if you assume to be 300-400$ making cost @ EU rates, in reality cost is much lesser than that. Briefly soeaking, these luxury markets exploit labour no less than slave trade!

I just read you can use castor oil on leather, would you say it's safe?

I wouldn't try it on all leathers. Depending on the tannage and finish all products will give different results on your leather. So I would be careful applying any liquid to my leather. Test first

For a big order. All shops in Andulucia is doing manufacturing for large brands so I don't know anyone who makes one of projects there. And whenever an artisan making a one of product then you can multiply that by 5 or 10 at least. As most of the time goes to design and hand cutting, making the single bag. When you are making a batch of at least 25 or more than the price is around my etimates.
