This is a show opener (hence the jackets, gone from the second song), so it's a rather simple song for them - the more complicated stuff comes later. But They're relentless during the whole show, incredible stamina and dedication. Btw, while looking at this again, I was thinking how much importance Miho had regarding stage presence - huge challenge for the younger wolf, but I have faith in her.

Please show him a few more videos from Lovebites, I really enjoyed that, Since there is hardly any international recognition publically when it comes to Lovebites, not to mention their record labels in Japan dont really care to represent their artists more outside of Japan, I would love to know how some really well known musicians from all over the world think about them. I mean, it would also help them being more recognized from bands, which if they would tour in Japan, would maybe think to get Lovebites for their additional bands for these shows. Anything is helpful. Love your reactions. ;)

Their label Victor doesn't really seem to care to represent their bands in general from what I have seen. I think Lovebites (and now Lonesome Blue) seem to get some exposure, but they didn't really do anything with Gacharic Spin any more (I am happy that they left Victor for their new album) and I noticed a while back that Victor published Atarashii Gakko's first albums as well and while I don't know a huge amount about them, they seem to get bigger now that they left Victor as well. Granted, they might have huge bands I don't know about, but I have a feeling they aren't really sure if they want to publish these bands or not. They also never repress their CD's. I undestand not repressing limited editions, but it's not rocket science to understand that people won't buy their records if they are sold out or have to pay idiotic prices to some scalpers (like what is the case with Gacharic Spin or the later Doll$boxx EP and DVD which are also published by Victor).

I would love to know what Snake from Skid Row (my sweetie always was such a fan of Skid Row ^^) would think of the Live Concert from Lovebites, either "Five of a kind" and / or (better both) "Heavy Metal never dies" . Those are beyond incredible shows, and I would love to know what professional musicians think of bands like Lovebites. I myself only stumbled about the fact that there is a so big Metal & Music scene in general in Japan shortly after the pandemic started. and I am with Metal music since 1987. Sure, I knew Loudness from the old days, but there is really such a big music scene over there, I never knew. And my eyes got opened wide (and then some!), when I first came across Lovebites, Unlucky Morpheus etc. and not only wondered why their music scene is kept so close to their own country for most of the world. Sure, there is that language barrier, and I have to admit, Japanese is not my kinda tea when it comes to languages. For me (from an outsider), it sounds way to much like a command sorta language, at least when you hear it in the more commonly known movies with Japanese settings or people from that country acting in the movies. It has a very rough side I think. But sung Japanese, that i find very beautiful. Anyways, i sure could understand if the language barrier is the reason for that scene being so hidden from the rest of the world. But then I realized its more the fact that it seems the Japanese record labels seem to care little about their artists getting worldwide fame. It seems they are preferring things to stay close to home. Which is a shame, because there is so much musical talent in Japan, you could stack it on top of each other and probably reach the moon on foot. ;) Its mind buggeling all the talent over there. The pandemic , as bad as it was for the entire world (and even i lost my own mother in this damn couple of years), but it allowed me to find music that is so beautiful, that since I wonder how I could not have heard of all this before. The reaction scene in many ways, even if some are only in it for the clicks, helped many bands that were formerly not known much on a worldwide level, to become known, and help people like me fall in love with it. I just wish more of the musicians we know from bands we listen to for many years, would sometimes just give their honest opinion about bands that come from places, where they have very little chance to reach more than their local success. Like bands from Japan for example. What I like is that female musicians are so much more in Japan than in any other country I have seen so far. I mean, here in Germany & Europe & the US for example, most times when there was a female artist in a band, it was a singer mostly. Very few female-only bands outside of Japan, especially in Metal. And I love the opposites, from how this music is presented in Japan compared to other countries. I mean, think about having 5 so beautful ladies like from Lovebites, if you would pass them somewhere on the street, you would not ever think that there are a handful of awesome rocking women, killing their instrument to an extend that would leave most male musicians here just with a fallen jaw. ;) And they dont "look" Metal, not at all. And it doesnt matter. In most parts of the western world, being Metal often seem to mean you have to have a certain standard how to look or be like, in order to considered truely Metal. I think people care far too much about that aspect, than about whats really important, which is the music. In Japan, what is more important, is the music. And that they can , as it turns out, much unlike most from what I have seen in other places. Not that there arent many talented musicians out in other countries, sure. I remember back then when Dream Theater changed their drummer and they had their big video show, you know, which drummer is next to be in Dream Theater to replace Mike Portnoy. It also looked more like a Media show than anything else. But what I mean, the level of musicianship you would need to play in a band like Dream Theater. Thats not for the average. I wonder if in Japan when bands look for musicians, there is not even a wondering if someone can keep up with the others, considering the level of musicianship so many people over there seem to have. Anyways, I am sorry, i guess i let myself go. :) Guess most of you have stopped reading this 20 lines ago :D ... I really like this channel, and i see a chance for bands like Lovebites and others from Japan, if people like Snake from the more known bands in the western world, like Skid Row, would also give their opinions about these bands. Because every little praise would help them, especially from other well known musicians. And yes, I stop now. ;) Cheers from Germany

You're doing a great job of spreading the word of some of these talented bands (of which Lovebites is both the most talented and most in need of exposure, in my opinion). If you get a guy like Dave saying they're exciting, then you know this is a band that would have a real shot internationally if more fans of classic metal knew about them.

Bigger fans than me might correct me, but I have read that their name actually comes from an other "Love Bites" song, specifically the song "Love Bites (So Do I)" by Halestorm. I am pretty sure some of the members actually performed that track with Halestorm when Lovebites was in Europe (probably at Wacken, but I am not positive on that).

@@andreaspedersen3952 That's true. Giving Asami a mic and plug that in or even take a mic from a backing vocalist from Halestorm is not that much work. Putting extra gear on stage is a lot of hassle, especially during a festival where time is typically very tight.

@@zens554 My list in order from "best" to "slightly less than best but still freaking awesome" is: 1.) Break the Wall. 2.) Set the World on Fire. 3.) Hammer of Wrath. 4.) Dissonance. 5.) Thunder Vengeance. They have other songs which are sort of Thrashy-Speed-Power metal, which I personally don't categorise as "thrash". For me, "Soldier Stands Solitarily" belongs in this category, along with songs like "Holy War" and others. But I realise there is a fair bit of subjectivity here, especially with Lovebites regularly blurring the lines between the metal sub-genres.
